No. Detroit cut him, but apparently Cam has filed a grievance and Detroit may owe him money. They have to keep a dead money charge of 4.2+ million on their cap book until the grievance is resolved. Apparently he had 10.5 million of guaranteed salary for 2024, and the Lions believed that his legal issues allowed them to void the guarantee. They may ultimately be right, but the process has to happen first. We are paying him 1.2 million regardless of what happens between him and the Lions.

Wouldn't Sutton be in the same boat as Russell Wilson, with the money the Steelers are paying him going back to his original team, and Sutton being able to keep all his Guaranteed money he was due by Detroit.

And, I am sure the NFL is watching this as Sutton's 6 game suspension money is either coming out of the minimum contract the Steelers gave Sutton, or the "His 2024 contract includes a base salary of $10.5 million, a prorated signing bonus of $2.1 million, and guaranteed salary of $9 million, resulting in a cap hit of $12.68 million" that Detroit gave him.
