Cam Sutton is back!

Wow, this sounds like a brutal attack on his wife/partner. The quote From the Police report Florio reads is just nasty and violent.

Minimum 6 weeks suspension maybe more according to Florio. Hope there will not be Video's and pictures leaking out, because it sounds like a Ray Rice Elevator Beating thing to me; with Cameron Sutton choking her out and then only to revive and he is still there beating on her when she is down; or maybe he just kept beating on her after she was passed out like Ray Rice did.

Edit, I just looked this up and Ray Rice received a 2 game suspension and a $500,000 fine for the Elevator Incident.



The Steeler's organization may take a black eye on this one.

In a letter and memo sent to all 32 teams owners following the announcement of the new policy, Goodell said he "didn't get it right" in giving Rice a two-game suspension.

 

So keep rewarding thw bad behavior you mention? Makes sense.

I think we miss the fact that many of the things you read about players today would never have made print 40 years ago. The micro lens being put on people today is brutal. Anyone remember that Payton Manning had an incident in college? Baker beat up a bunch of cops. Everything is a national story. Imagine a kid not being allowed to play in the NFL because of a crime but he can still be president? I think people are always going to be people and make mistakes.

 

Does it hurt your back to carry the goalposts around like that?

You asked if the Steelers have sunk so low, as having someone like Sutton was something new. It isn't, as evidenced by them keeping Roethlisberger and Harrison.

Every team in the league has bad guys on it. They all do. If you want to fool yourself by thinking otherwise, have at it.

I am just hoping the Steelers don't do something stupid with Sutton and the NFL and try to fight the 6 game suspension. Let Cameron serve his suspension at the start of the season , so he is fully back and ready to go for Week 11 on when the schedule gets nasty.

Fight the Suspension "Until all the evidences comes in" and you may be looking at Sutton be suspended for say the last 6 games of the season.

Just take it on the nose and then get ready for the 2nd half of the season and your playoff run.

Think this was a bad idea. Reading the report of his assault, not sure he is someone I we should have gone for so soon.

Listening to his response to the situation also left me even more convinced he should be in rehab and not being signed by a team.

steeler depot has contract details. 1-yr, vet minimum, so low that it isn't even one of the Top 51 contracts for Cap purposes. doesn't appear to be guaranteed. no bonus.
