Detroit acted like just because they gave Sutton that contract, they expected him to cover the top receivers .

Good, I didn't like that we let him go. We know how to utilize him.

I think the other Sutton may be available to any team EXCEPT the Pittsburgh Steelers. Over Sean Payton's dead body is he going to help out Russell Wilson.

I don’t think any of it matters anymore. Current events in the country tell me people really don’t care about arrests or convictions anymore.

Glad he’s back. Steelers need him to fill a position. Any possible suspension and/or fine should be very minimal considering the history of the NFL. There’s been a lot of wrist slapping going on when it comes to the National Felons League. Cam’s first and only offense as far as I know so perhaps they will just sweep it under the rug as they have done in the past.

The affidavit doesn’t make much difference. The DA reviewed the evidence, decided it didn’t warrant felony charges, reduced charges to misdemeanor, then dropped altogether when he entered pretrial diversion. What the league does now is the point of concern. They could suspend him indefinitely, not at all, or a few games. My guess is a 4 game suspension. Maybe he can get it reduced by the players Union

Integrity. Look it up. Hell, let’s bring AB back. Maybe we could resurrect Aaron Hernandez and sign him. Get Rae Carruth out of the penn.

James Harrison had a history of violence and anger management issues, then assaulted the mother of his child while he was a Steeler. Ben Roethlisberger was accused of rape twice. The Steelers have been at this level for a long time, as has every other team in the NFL.

I guess you should have chosen another team when they chose to keep James Harrison and Ben Roethlisberger despite the accusations against them.

Great move. Makes sense. Give him a second chance. Get a good player. Sutton was here a long time without any behavioral issues so I'm not that worried about it. As far as I can remember he was a professional that came to work each day and took advantage of opportunities that came his way.

He'll have to pay for what happened, but hopefully not too long

this ain't your daddy's NFL, if you haven't looked around lately.

it ain't the boy scouts and it ain't Sunday School.

Boy Scouts aren't going to be Boy Scouts much longer. The organization is changing its name to Scouting America, and they haven't always been what they claimed to be, anyway.

These same things were always going on with players on every team in the NFL. The Steelers may be a little better about it than some teams, but they were never an exception, so why would they be one now? I doubt there is or has ever been an NFL team that didn't have bad guys on it. I doubt there has ever been one that the coach, GM, and owner didn't know they had bad guys on the team and kept them anyway.

I would tend to agree with you.
    1. We sports fans cheer for things we want to identify with. Our dads worked in the steel mills in Pittsburgh so we like to cheer for the Steelers for example. I don't want to identify with wrong behavior and would find it hard to cheer for something that represents that.
    2. Misbehaving players are self destructive, like Burfict, like Antonio Brown, so investing in a player who won't pay off is risky.

Excellent point. I can absolutely see Payton being that way. He just is not a nice guy. Never have liked the guy. He has this perpetual smug arrogant smirk on his face.

Did you root against Ben Roethlisberger? What about James Harrison?

Has anyone heard what charges are stemming in Florida or where this assault took place? Has anyone heard what the NFL will do? I think/ hope the Steelers have
Researched this before we give him a roster spot.
