Cam Newton Ignores Own Fumble

The thing there that I thought was condescending was when he said "I'm trying to be a good teammate here..." That was incredibly passive aggressive to me. Ben has actually had protection issues for the vast majority of his career and never made comments like that. I've actually wished he WOULD from time to time. It's also kind of unsportsman to come out and imply that basically it wasn't a great rush from our d (which it was) instead of a poor performance from their line. Sorta like if I said "The broncos won because the panther line didn't show up" as opposed to "The broncos won because their d line won their matchups all night". It's like when the American car races the Soviet car and beats it badly in a two car race and the Soviets say "Soviet car takes 2nd place and American car comes in next to last".

 

I agree. Manning has been screaming at his teammates his whole career.

I would have loved to see DT tear him a new one just once... "WTF Manning?! You almost get me killed by Kuechly throwing 2 yards on a 3 and 9?! Grow a pair and try getting a first down ****bou! 140 yards, no TDs and an interception! Nice stat line. Greatest ever my ass!"
