So you do know for a fact Heyward was not being a leader so I guess I was wrong...what a jerk heyward is for this post!

Well your right I judge what I see on tv and what I read, then I come on here and talk about my opinion....not facts. Until people posts how others feel and what others say then I point out how they know them things........

As for Tomlin being judged by TV I agree a lot of people post things off what they see and not what is reported but that is all part of the message board life no?

Nope, you didn't look at it wrong. There is plenty of blame to go around ... for that loss. Hayward admitted that it wasn't his best game, but he won't let the negative keep him down. If you look back ...Woodson, Lloyd, and Greene suffered some pretty bad championship games. Time make alot of the hurtful games go away. We wouldn't have beat philly anyway in the superbowl. We would've definitely got out coached. And that's Reality.

Well that wasn't going to happen, they used Chickillo to backup for Bud.

They obviously didn't want a 40 year old Harrison playing both sides, so it didn't happen .

Yep we know that but don't sit here and say we would have to sit Watt to play JH cause that is incorrect. The Pats showed JH could play both sides and pass coverage as well.

Well, the whole defense was like Casper against Jax. That was the most concerning thing. That first drive said it all. Without those two 4th down plays letting it fly it would have been a blowout.

I don't really have a problem with what Heyward said. We can only hope they improve, injuries or not. And that goes for the whole defense.

And really wasting time talking about a player that isn't a Steeler anymore to me is mind numbing. He did some great things while he was in Black & Gold. But he is what he is, no longer a Steeler. And to say his game was recharged after he went to another team is quite a reach.

Im sorry, I just cant help myself. Really? What in his stat line led you to draw that conclusion???

You gyys are building up quite the myth of JH's play in NE.

I watched him and he played well enough IMO to have been justified playing time on either side. that is all I am saying, I tried to put this to rest but I guess we all want to relive it. When a guy says well what did you want to see JH or Watt IMO that is wrong. If you want to go by stat line that is fine as well but there will always be the guy who said well that was garbage time sacks blah blah blah.

I don't care what he did in NE all I care about was IMO he had something to offer this team. I guess it is back to arguing over something that don't really matter now. :duel::facepalm:

Oh I see. So you want to drop these little sound bites and then expect noobody to comment on it??? I see how you roll. :lolol:

I'll just leave this little nugget here. If Bud produced what JH did, he'd be getting ripped for that production. Just saying.

Bud is a starter. JH was a backup. Not the same expectations.

For me, I wanted JH to get a few snaps each week, so that the starting OLBs would have more energy late in the games.
I think that JH played well enough with NE to show he would have played okay (as a backup), instead of rotting on the bench with zero snaps. (Not claiming he suddenly became an All-Star, or that he should have played more than a few snaps. Just something greater than zero.)

I dont think JH would have settled for a few snaps. He was getting about 30 with NE and he simply wouldnt have gotten that here.

My point about the Bud comparison is that JH's play in NE wasnt anything to write home about. Its not like he lit it up there and you can say, omg, he should have been playing over Bud. There was no difference IMO.

I accidentally stumbled onto a site that showed some pics contradicting this. I appreciate you clarifying. Otherwise, I was afraid my 12 years of catholic school wasn’t the best source of sex ed.
