Nobody on this team commands the respect that Cam Heyward does and deservedly so. He’s been a tremendous player for the Steelers for a long time and just seems to be a wonderful human being with his charitable and community service endeavors. I was so hoping that we’d get him a Lombardi before he retires but it’s getting late where his career is concerned.

Cam is the E.F. Hutton of the team. When he talks, people listen. (You youngsters go ask your parents, lol.)
That’s why when I read his comments earlier today I thought they were pretty telling and representative of what the defense’s thoughts are on the current quarterback situation. I’m sure he didn’t intend this remark to be a shot at Kenny (or Mitch for that matter), but I think it clearly shows which side of the quarterdeck debate he (and by extension the defense) is coming down on and it’s clearly Mason.

We haven’t been our best on defense, but to have an offense that’s going out there and giving us 30 points, that’s a lot to rely on,” defensive end Cam Heyward said. “I hate to say it, it gives us more room for error. We haven’t had that margin of error for a long time.
