I do not disagree with you. Honestly, I am not football smart enough to understand the deeper differences in different systems.

What keeps making me wonder though is the Steelers and how they develop players. It seems that most successful players on the Steelers are successful because they have a very high level of personal talent. I don't think that the Steelers have been amplifying each other's play to become even better. It is more like a bunch of talented individuals on the field at the same time with a similar goal. This seems especially true for the offensive side in recent years. Either they have it, or they don't. It seems like there is very little development/progression for players that don't get it right away. Those players tend to sit on a bench and act as a back up, hit free agency or get traded......leaving us with good players who play like individuals.

That is a coaching issue, not a player issue. With a completely new coaching staff, I wonder about players like Roman Wilson. With better coaching, what is his real potential? I hope that we can find out and are pleasantly surprised.

lol.....it was awesome to watch! His hands are the size of tennis rackets. With those tacky NFL gloves, it is almost a target that can't be missed. I just hope that he can avoid a repeat of runs that result in broken arms. Not sure if he was trying to protect himself from leg tackles or what, but his run style looked like a very injury prone style to me.

Holy crap, did anyone check out Calvin's Guarantee in this contract? A whopping $100,000 guaranteed; I have seen Undrafted Free Agents have a bigger guarantee in their contracts.

Can you believe this was the guy Tomlin and Khan tried to pass off last year as WR #2. Now we know what the rest of the NFL thinks of Calvin Austin.
