Looking over this roster, there are certainly some names that I am not familiar with. So, for you insider hot shots, name a few players on here that we might not know who could be this year's Mike Hilton, i.e. ends up being a producer that we never heard of before.

Some of you impress me with some knowledge of this kind. Take your shot.

    I'll go first.

He is a late bloomer and won't ever be a sack master, but he has powerful hands and is tough to run on. I can see why he is in camp, considering the implosion we had on run D. Maybe they are rethinking the "our DLmen will rush the passer more" after that fiasco, especially in the play offs.

    Christian Scotland-Williamson

TE, who is beyond raw (rugby player), but at 6-9, 276 lbs, he is intriguing. Can he really move well enough and catch at that size, having never played US football to become a TE, or will Munch take him over and make him an OT? I can't say I have any idea of his chances of working out, but it's fun to ponder the possibilities.

Mathew Thomas - I already posted on him. I would love for him to work out.

Who has no shot? Any WR not named AB, Ju Ju, Washington, Hey Bey or Hunter?

I do like the story on Williamson. It will be interesting if his athletic skills can translate quickly?

I would love him to make it. That is one BIG Mo Fo. Can you imagine if he is a wrecking machine? Defenses trying to contain Bell, AB, Ju Ju, McDonald, Washington and now this guy comes in an runs over people? Dear word, what a headache this O would provide.

My only concern is his age. By the time he gets good, if he gets good, how long will he play? He’s already 24.

He's got a good 6 years left, if not 8.

McGee was going to be my sleeper pick to make the team and force Grumble out but that ain't happening.

So after watching video from OTA''s I'm going to say Ridley because he really popped to me and Josh Frazier. I think he will shock some folks.

    Joshua Frazier.

He will be more of a focal point for the emphasis on the improved run defense than others realize.

Understood. But I’m thinking 2 years minimum until he’s any good.

I don't think he will be a starter, but can be good in spurts. He is physically talented but not much endurance. He could help us, and give Tuitt/Heyward a blow.

That would still be 4 good years.

    :hmm:

Joshua Frazier lacks endurance? Interesting because that was one of his strengths coming out of the draft.

As for your second comment, my post coincides with what he will bring. I do not expect him to be a starter. I know, however that, when the situation calls for his number, he will be quite the surprise to many.

Well, the scouts don't agree with you. https://www.nfl.com/prospects/joshua-frazier?id=32462018-0002-5601-4414-b923e4e052f4

    • Never broke into regular rotation during his time in the program
    • Played in less than 18 percent of the defensive snaps over last two seasons
    • Production was minimal
    • Space taker over play-maker
    • Very gradual and plays at a lethargic pace
    • Rarely gains quick advantages
    • Offers no pass-rush potential

Whoever steps into Shazier's spot better be a pleasant surprise or it may have to be shootout season for the offense.

If there is only a non-factor at NT, it might not matter who plays ILB.

Whether they agree with my views or not is irrelevant.

I will not become subservient towards views that I do not agree with.

Huguenin has lost weight since that review. He played really well for us last preseason. I thought he might make the team last year but with harrison and moats here he went to the PS. He was at 269 in camp last year. Similar to chickillo going from DE to OLB and dropping weight to do it. His stats last year in preseason were the same as watts.

Franklin the RB from W.Mich.. The kid was a good RB in the MAC. He's a big boy that can run. Pretty crowded room though. I'd hope they keep him around if this is bells last year.

Summers and golden in an extremely crowded safety room. Both are the FS type and not really going to make noise as an in the box SS.

A number of offensive linemen we have in camp. We got some pretty decent ones. Who will separate themselves? It is time to start grooming future players in this room as our current guys are beginning to age. Nice battles brewing I expect for these backup roles.

The kid from LSU at DE. He could make it a battle with Walton.
