Thought this guy might fall to the steelers. Is he worth a first round pick

Are you seriously asking if he's first round worthy because of a positive SARS-COV-2 test?

no. I'm asking those more knowledgeable here than me if he is worth a first round pick. He probably will have no issues with recovering from COVID but then you never know what teams will look at when drafting a kid

I think the multiple injury list (herniated disc and then surgery, ACL surgery) and opt out is more pressing but I still think most teams have him as 1st round worthy. Supposedly the back issue is not recurring since it was fixed with surgery. Some GMs prefer "cleaner" medicals I'm sure, but I think he'll still go 1st round. Big corner with great movement skills are hard to find.

No opt out and no back problems, he's a top 15 pick, easily. Is it possible we choose him? Yes, we lost 2 cb's and maybe 3, so it's a need.
Will people on TSF complain if we choose him? Yup. Will people on here complain no matter who we take? Yup.

For me, while he is a top 20 player in this class, it would not shock me if he fell into Day 2. That said, if I am the Steelers, I would think about trading up for him if he is within striking distance at that point.

Gotcha. PFF thinks he's the best talent in the draft at CB, FWIW.

I think he falls to the bottom of the first round, or into the second round.

Oh for certain. Oh to the hell no though in Round One. Way too rich for my blood.

If one of the 5 good quarterbacks falls to 24, the 24th pick becomes a very valuable trade asset. If some QB hungry team trades with us, perhaps we end up with 3 second round picks that enable us to draft starting OT, C, and RBs.

I felt bad for this guy. ACL, two back surgeries, and everyone else got to watch themselves being drafted in a rented hotel suite surrounded by friends and family, while this guy was on a phone camera alone in his dorm room. Anyway, with the Steelers’ abysmal record of drafting and developing DBs, I am glad we didn’t get him.
The round two and three picks are where they really fill the roster holes. Some of them, anyway.
