    The Good:

Brown is Brown!!! D. Williams is who we hoped he would be. Our OL Played great, really, they did.
Shazier is going to be a Great ILB. Ben Is a Franchise QB with HOF traits!!! We have a Team that can compete and challenge for Playoff wins. How they grow throughout the season will determine how far they actually go...... Not all is lost.

    The Bad:

We lost to the Cheatriots!!!! Our defense looked lost at times. How do you not cover Gronk???? And On several occasions at that!!!! We were out coached & out Played. Marching down and then a stupid gadget play. They ran the ball very well but why stick with it on long 2nd and especially Long 3rd downs. A good balance is great but when you need 28yds for a 1st you don't run a draw with DJ....

    The Ugly:

Headset issues....again. I truly believe someone is purposely messing with the opposing teams communications but honestly that had nothing to do with the loss. Our defense was woefully outcoached and outplayed. They looked lost, confused and ill prepared. Mike Mitchell is way over paid. W. Allen is Avg as a SS and we are used to spectacular. We couldn't pressure Tom but don't blame the DL or LBers. Tom was quick pitching all night and yet we rarely tightened up coverage with our corners. Still the same bend don't break style. It works if you remember who Gronk is, and don't cover him with Garvin!!!!!

Agree with all the above. Especially not covering Gronk. I would of rather them had mistakening covered him with three people and let someone else wide open. At least they would of made him a priority.

    Agree with you, Cajun.

The safety position is actually damaging the entire defense. This is why I was really hoping we went S in the first round.

Not saying Dupree didn't play well, but man, we need to do something about that secondary.

it appears the players on defense behind the front 7 are a secondary thought

I've already listed in another thread who our 1st 2nd rd pick will be
and bygod they aren't even from NORTH CAROLINA

    The Good
Offense ran the ball well, passing game was good
    The Bad
Scobee missing 2 FGs, the headsets not working properly
    The Ugly
The entire defense had no clue on how to cover that midget Edelman or Gronk

Not bad, we don't have one of the leagues's best RB out there for us, we're missing a major threat in Bryant opposite Brown, lost our Kicker for 6, and our main man on the O-line is gone. I think Bryant would've wreaked havoc for NE last night. Add to that the whole Brady fiasco chip on the shoulder, hostile crowd adoring their God, and the communication issue. Well, our Offense can go toe to toe with anyone.

How do you miss covering Gronk? How is that even possible? it would understandable if you had one too many on him leaving another undefended. It's not good, but I'd get it, But to not cover him at all ???

    LB'ers to brady? Not good.

Our Kicker can't kick. Also, not good.

Let us hope they get better and help this offense out a bit.

Didn't the defense line up wrong early in the year last year? Because DL was the coach last year and that happened. So maybe not all is lost with the coaches. We just have some D players who require more coaching before they are ready to start the season.

BTW, the Steelers can still accomplish everything they set out to accomplish this year. They can win the division, get a bye, make the playoffs, and win the Super Bowl. Not every game will be against the talent and techniques (read deep into that) of the Patriots at their home opener.

    I'll add...

Good: JJ with a solid game in all phases. DHB caught one!

Bad: DHB managed to turn a cakewalk TD into an incompletion... No TD first and goal from the 1. Scobee shankopatomus. Blake looked bad both in coverage and in the open field with his tackling.

Ugly: Garvin attempting to man up Gronk. Golden forgetting to cover Gronk. Watching the Pats and their fans celebrate yet another championship they won amidst cheating controversy.

Better hope AB doesn't go down, simply the best/clutch football player
on the field, uncoverable. We can stay in any football game if you put the ball in his hands.Defense is a work in progress. Even tho D'angelo played great Bell is also a superstar.

the good: we only used a 5th round draft pick on a guy that won't see the field.

the bad: we found out our starters on defense can be as bad as our backups during preseason.

the ugly: we found out our starters on defense can be as bad as our backups during preseason. (maybe green fonts were in order.) maybe.
