He's not worth 6 million a year in our system anymore.

I so hate this time of year. You see guys you like just go away and you begin to think, how do we fill that hole? Williams is okay and I think he can be a starter, but I don't think he will excel in coverage. Funny, I actually did a mock this morning and the guy who fell was Foster from Alabama.

Honestly though Williams can't be any worse in coverage than Timmons now.

This makes Shaziers health all the more importabt. If he misses time, the middle of our defense is pretty much done with what we currently have.

Not in any universe is he worth 11mil guaranteed over two seasons at this stage of his career. I am a HUGE fan of Timmons, but it was time to move on. Today's NFL is unkind to aging LB'ers (not named Deebo).

Love ya 94, good luck in Miami!

Like a lot of people here, I don't like to see him go, but wouldn't have paid him that much to stay.

In my alternate reality, this is where Matekevich's HOF career begins...

I wish him all the best.

He has been a rock solid player for this team. Ten years worth of good production and a team leader. What more could one ask for that he could control?

However, this does mean that ILB now catapults into the early rounds in the upcoming draft. That or Tyler Matakevich has shown enough of an improvement to be the teams othet starting linebacket by then.

Wonder what the Steelers would have paid? Figured theyd go 5 mil a year, makes me think it was even less than that or Id think he would have stayed.

Good luck, Lawdog, it was great having you!

The Dolphins are going to regret this. Timmons is good...he isn't as good as that contract. This is why the Dolphins are as bad as they have been the past several years. Bad, bad decisions.

I agree 100% he isn't worth 6 mil a year, but good for him for getting that kind of money. That said, we will miss him.

We are definitely thin at LB with Debo being so old and Jarvis probably not coming back.
