Bye bye markus

No big loss, the Steelers are the best at finding WRs.

 

Agree with all who wish him well.

I thought he was above average, but the only way I would really miss him, is if Bryant gets suspended again.

I`m good with Brown, Coates, Bey, Rodgers, Hamilton, etc...

I wouldn`t overpay for Wheaton, although I think it would have been nice to keep him on the roster for injury insurance, at the least.

What did the Bears pay him?

WR is one of our deepest positions, IMO...

I couldn`t believe that there were rumors of us being interested in Pryor from the Clowns...

Yeah, he is a threat with the ball in his hands, anytime, but, not at what he was asking.

The Skins might have got a good deal for about 8 million on a 1 year contract, but even the Clowns wouldn`t give what he was asking...

Did Wheaton get something like 12 mill/yr?

I`m gonna miss him, but not too much, unless the injury/suspension bug hits our WR`s.

I was always a Wheaton fan, but felt it was in both interests for him to move on. I have no reservations with him not here. I have more faith in Bryant than most and think Eli Rogers and Ayers form a great tandem for the slot. You get either a WR or move TE in the draft and that will round out the receiving corps in my eyes.

 

The Steelers play the Bears this year.

Playing in a new offense he will get a lot more targets than he would have here, he just might turn it around like sanders did at denver.....

 

Unfortunately for Markus, the Bears don't have a good quarterback.

The Bears did it. They actually did it. Since mid-December, we’ve heard reports that Mike Glennon, who has attempted 11 passes since the start of the 2015 season, could command up to $15 million a year on the open market. We all laughed. And then the Bears went out and made it happen.
