I thought the 2008 draft was the best ever.... at the time. Mendenhall was the only productive player from that draft.

His contract has $3M guaranteed (of $3.5M). They might decide to keep him as a warm body in case of emergency.

Ziggy was doing everything right though during the offseason and was working with some of the best. He'd always look ready during preseason. Just didn't translate into regular season success.

Ziggy Hood was a hard worker. It's just that he was never a 3-4 defensive lineman. The organization projected him there, but it never worked. He was really built to play in a 4-3 as a DT and was much better in that role after he left the Steelers.

I guess that means we won't be signing Bumper Pool, just released by Carolina

Hard working player with a awesome motor, but not much ability. Although I watched His whole career, and I seen Him make plays I never thought He could.

Funny you brought that up. Never heard of the guy until I watched some of that game. I told some family members that he has got to be a Steeler one day just for that name.

So funny if we had Ziggy and Bumper as our LB's.

Then we could draft "chop" Robinson next season to complete the trifecta

kid sucked, fell off HARD. oh well, another Steelers miss that we are paying dearly for.

Some say it was the knee injury - I am not sure - I think he was injured 'between the ears'

Agree. Players come back from knee injuries all the time. When he said last year that if it doesn't work out with the Steelers it's no big deal because he'll still be playing in the NFL I knew he didn't have the right mindset to be successful. He's a bit of a punk.

I take it the player ran into Devin and fell down when he couldn’t get out of the way fast enough.

Can anyone say they are surprised by this? And Pgh traded away draft picks to get this guy. Another Colbert crapping of the bed.

No. Colbert or any GM can’t be expected to be seers and know a player won’t put the work in and be lazy f***ers.

Well, they do TRY and uncover those and other traits, but they obviously can't figure it out all the time.
