Don't worry like Tomlin said we won't notice the changes. He will be nowhere to be found. Maybe we're not playing any LBs this week:shrug:

In a article over at SD it says that Tomlin is unhappy with secondaries struggles with defending passes.
That raises a interesting question. What exactly goes on in practice against our O? Do they actually make plays and are they around the ball? I find it hard to believe that they offer much of a challenge in practice if they are this bad in a real game. Maybe that's why our O seems to struggle more often than not in the beginning of games. They aren't getting a realistic look against our D.

Who knows ? Some times they look like they don't practice at all.....

Majority of the time the first team defense doesn't play against the 1st Team offense. They play against the scout team offense which is setup to give the defense looks of the opposing team on that respective week. It's all backups and practice squad guys on scout team

Burns starting is a good move. The opponent will score faster, leaving more time on the clock at the end of the game for the Steelers offense. In addition Tomlin will be able to save all his timeouts for the offense.;)

So Burns has struggled all year...So NOW your gonna start him, against MARSHA! Double moves all day!

I think I will start Edelman and Gordon in all my cash games

Heres a good breakdown for how NFL teams operate throughout the week.

Apparently, the odds weren't stacked heavily enough against the Steelers with the team collapsing and Conner likely to sit out again. Tomlin is making sure they lose.

If it were any other team, it would be hilarious. I’m thinking that we’re playing a lot of man coverage this Sunday, and they prefer Burns to Sensabaugh in that scenario. If he’s playing, I prefer that his assignment be simple.

You know what? That's a optimistic outlook on the situation. Although, I think burns isn't a good man coverage guy, having him with a simple assignment such as "hey just follow and cover this guy" may work in our favor.

They have to pull out all the stops to win this game and that means going man to man and even press man at times. I applaud the go for broke strategy if they actually go through with it. It has to be feast or famine because if we sit back we have no chance. Considering we probably don't have Conner we have to open up the O and play aggressive D.
The playoffs start now for us. If we can somehow find a way to get this game in think the confidence this team will gain can have a huge impact on how the rest of the season goes. Win and I think anything is possible. Lose and I think we're done. Coaching also has to be a lot better than what we've gotten up to this point. It will take a complete team effort O,D and STs and hopefully some luck.

If they start Burns and play zone, somebody needs to be fired next Monday morning.

Wow. The hits just keep coming. I guess this is Tomlin’s suttle defensive change the naked eye won’t notice? My God...Brady will have a field day out there. Just pack it in already.

I think the strategy is brilliant. Brady and Bill should still be laughing by halftime and will be too distracted to actually play! (Yes I am still upset about the game!)

We could play with 10 or 9 on defense
