Glenn you should check out the article on Lewis saying Burificut didn't go over the line on NFL.com. Apparently some of his own players were criticizing him for letting things get so far out of hand. His response was he can only do so much before he has to get on the field which he isn't allowed to do. Sounds like he is blaming the refs or the players in that regard.

Not to change the topic but what exactly did he do ? And as far as the alligations went...the girl in Georgia ADMITTED she lied to the GBA. And that Cival case in Nevada was debunked and thrown out as well. So what bad things did Ben even do ? Please enlighten me.

How can he have done plenty wrong if only he knows? The obvious point is that he was suspended based on accusations and without charges. The NFL did what it did best when there is a PR scare.
    Oh brother, not this again.
Probably because of how rare it is for egregious repeat behavior.

What a joke. The worst offender of player safety rules since the NFL has instituted such rules, and he gets a 3 game suspension.

I guess the bright side is that he'll probably be on a short leash as a multiple offender. The next time, maybe he gets 4-6 games and so on.

Yeah I saw that. With an attitude like that no wonder his players are out of control.

It would really do some good if the other players and teams that have dealt with Burpricks crap to step foreward and issue some concerns as well. Probably a stretch but they don't have a problem taking to social media sites and bitching via memes, gifs, or little pressers. Maybe if they put forth a legitimate complaint some actual action would take place. I can't believe any player feels safe with that dude constantly going for injuries

Words don't mean much... The video is proof in burflict's case.... His suspension should have been a whole season for his repeated efforts. Season replay..... Burflict took out our top QB, rb and wr in the same season..... wonder if Gregg Williams is a consultant to their defense....

Last I heard... There was no video of Ben doing anything wrong. Sheesh.

Surely there's a hefty fine coming along with the suspension. Do that, and I'll be ok with it. I'd like a harsher penalty, but it's probably as harsh as they're able to go. For now...

I'm sure it'll escalate when - not if - he steps out of line again. Then again, Pac Man should be in prison much less allowed in the league and somehow they're letting him play. What will it take to get either of them out for good like they deserve?

Wouldn't it be great if he appealed it and the league said "you're right, Vontaze, 3 games is unfair. We hereby suspend you for 8 games!"? :lolol:

    3 games suspension is great.

That is much better than a fine. He will miss 3 game checks.

That is a lot of money.

And now that he has been suspended 3 games the next time might be longer.

Harrison ended up getting fined every time he looked at a QB eventually.

Burfict has injured the Steelers 3 best players this season Bell, Ben, and AB. I hope he doesn't win his appeal, he's a repeat offender of dirty plays.

His hits on Bell and Ben were clean. Although his hit on Bell was the same principle as a horse collar.

Also, if Brown had caught that ball I wouldn't have considered that a dirty hit.

Burfict is dirty because he kneed Ben after the play, Grabbed Peezy after the play, spat on DeCastro after the play (after another Bengal rolled DeCastro over so Burfict had top mount).

The dirtiest play Burfict did was dive at Ben's knees which thankfully did not result in an injury to Ben.

I disagree if AB caught the ball, and Burfict hit him in the head it's still a penalty.

America's justice system is a disgrace. To think you were once considered innocent till proven otherwise. He wasn't even charged with a crime yet he's labeled a rapist. If there was any evidence he would have been charged. Think maybe a high profile guy like him could be the target of such things? I think so. Guilty of being a douche bag? Maybe...I'd be willing to bet 90% of the players in this league are guilty of douschery... that includes most of our players as well. I mean how many jocks in HS and College acted like total ass holes? Answer: All of them. Most are ego maniacs.

Ever been in a bar when a NFL player shows up? I was at a bar in Chicago when Calvin Johnson, Matt Stafford, and some other player walked in. The bar went from being mostly empty to jam packed with hot young women in about 60 minutes. It was like they put out the batman signal for hoe's. And they were all dressed like you wouldn't believe...on a Sunday night. and this was a friggen Irish pub downtown. Now image Ben in a night club. Funny thing is Johnson was acting very nice. Stafford was slamming every shot bought for him and walking around like a peacock.

He needs to be caged and flown to Syria, lowering him down into the rear of a toyota pickup.

Half a loaf is better than none. I`ll take it.

The schedule makers should make sure they pay and put us and a couple other tough games up front for them to play.

I agree that would be a penalty but that doesn't make it dirty.

Harrison would have done the same thing.

The refs called that Williams hit a penalty. Total joke.

Anyways. Burfict's hit was dirty because he never let up despite the ball being overthrown. Maybe he would have made contact but not by driving his shoulder through AB.

If AB catches that ball and he gets hit like that it is still a penalty but unfortunate for the defender that AB's head was at that height.

There are enough reasons that Burfict is dirty without having to try to make every play seem dirty.

He should have got 6 games plus. The Saints were hammered for targeting players.
