I think you're right. The Bucs did everything they could to hand the game to the Steelers but they just didn't want it.

Ike would have made a world of difference...Don't have to be top notch to best the bunch thats behind him....We could have got 2 or 3 more sacks at least if Ike was there ... Without Ike we must give 15 yard cushions and they still get beat ...I swear I am still better than most of our CB'S....Might as well throw Archer back there...heck try big Dan have him press every play .

Try something , because the 1st. real QB we see without Ike might put up 500 yards and thats 4 real....

Enough of the delays and shotgun formation handoffs they aren't consistent enough especially when the D knows they're coming, and the O line ain't good enought to consistently handle that assignment

Do they ever? The Bucs need 22 yards for a first down, no time outs left and we just sit back and watch them throw it for 20 yards? Over 100 yards in personal foul penalites? I am beyond disgusted.

Tampa did all they could do to lose???? Or did we????

Damn near every negative stop was denied by a flag on us. Every 3rd and long was awarded to them by us. Now some of the officiating was screwy and damn sure wasn't called evenly, but we went out of our way to lose that game!

loss... We earned it, get over it. It's a repeat fail for us to make big gamers out of subpar teams. And the recipe ain't going nowhere.

Dont be sorry Ike is not a top 20 CB ,but he is a starter,, the rest of our guys should be on a practice squad at best...

THE ONLY thing Ike would have done was drop the INT that Cortez was spoonfed

What the hell.... No excuse for losses like this. Still kinda in shock. Why the **** didn't we try to win the game on 3rd and 5. That was just a hideous call. we weren't stopping them with 45 seconds anyways, what's the extra 30 seconds gonna do if we miss?

Our replacements were TERRIBLE today (w/ exception to Moats). Wallace and Spence were downright dreadful today, and I really thought Spence would play nicely. Allen played awful, and so did Beachum. If we don't go to Jacksonville and Cleveland and run train, we're gonna be in trouble this season

Get a clue, the sorry players are the one's committing dumb penalties, and Beachum getting beat for sacks.

The Steelers had the lead at halftime so I disagree about not being ready to play.

I think we lost for 3 reasons:

    1. Stupid penalties that were are fault, undisciplined.
    2. Ben missed on too many key passes.
    3. Pass rush is bad.. Can't blame db's totally.

i don't know if our pass rushers on the outside just stink, or if the evolution of the game is making them obsolete. Sometimes on 3rd down we take our olbs off the field for nickel????

We aren't going to run train against anybody. Beachum was embarrassing and so was Allen who we just resigned for some reason.

I hope this is tongue in cheek. You miss the 6-10, 8-8 seasons? The love affair with Kordell? The prevent defense? The Martyball-play-not-to-lose?
I liked Cowher too but, there's a lot of revisionist history on here about him.

Maybe somebody should tell Tomlin and company that we've got to play the second half too?

Yep. We always knew what we had with Cowher. I don't know what the hell kind of team we have anymore and I haven't known for years. We're just a mess in every way possible

You're right about this. Cowher was not the second coming of Vince Lombardi. He had his share of failure that's for sure. How many AFC Championship games did we lose during his tenure?

But with Cowher, I always felt that he had things under control and that he was going to take the necessary action to ensure that we didn't stay in the doldrums. With Tomlin, I just don't feel that way. I get the impression that he's in over his head and that he doesn't have a clue what to do to turn this team around. At least Cowher got us to the AFC Championship game on a regular basis. Under Tomlin's leadership, I'm not sure we'll ever sniff another one. Especially when the curtain falls on Ben's career and he's in the post-intermission portion of that now.

6-10, 8-8 Are both the same to me, ; a loosing season;, I remember Cowher having 2 - 1000 yrd recievers a 1000 yrd rb and a qb that passed f0r over 4000 yrds a certain year also..

I was thinking the same thing, that 3rd down run had no chance let Ben have a safe throw to pick up the first down.

On a different note, the shocking fact that we FINALLY got an OL called for holding James Harrison, and that miraculous, one-off event will likely be lost amid everything else. Which is a shame.
