yea wasn't this guy a former QB? Seem to remember him coming from another position during draft talk last year. Probably not very physical if that's the case and why he's on his 3rd team or so in a couple years.

He's only played tight end for a couple seasons. Other than that and highlights, I don't know much about him.

3 seasons at receiver. This is his 4th team in a year too.

    To simplify - he's soft.

But at 6-6. with a 4.5 forty, he sure looked like a prospect. He must have shown nothing to be discarded so quickly and often.

Oh wait, he's from VT...never mind. Tomlin just drools over anyone from VT like a dog staring at a steak. Kind of pathetic.

Big deal, Bucky is just a training camp body.

Camp body. No more no less. People underestimate our Tight ends. Vance, Jesse, and Grimble are a good group, especially if Vance can stay healthy.

Grimble? He's nothing special. A 3rd stringer, as he should be. And, yes, VM will be super IF he can stay healthy, but he never has been able to. Crossing fingers.

You should ALWAYS strive to add players who can be more than a training camp body, whenever possible.

As a 3rd TE Grimble is pretty darn good. Big body, good blocker, good hands, decent route runner, what's not to like? If will be very difficult for a UDFA to remove Grimble from his roster spot, and I doubt the Steelers keep 4 TEs.

    5 rec., 32 yds, 1 TD (a 1-yard shovel pass).

It's not that he's "not to like." It's just that I like players with upside wherever possible. He is what he is: a 3rd stringer who won't ever be anything more than a 5 catch guy.
