Cubs win!

 

AHHHHHH YEEEEEEAH!!!! Great game! Arrieta takes the mound next and hopefully he continues the dominance. Oh man it's gonna be awesome Monday night! GO CUBBIES!!!

 

We took one tonight. I'm happy as I can be right now. I don't wanna say I feel good going forward because I don't wanna jinx it but I'm certainly excited. I would love to see the cards go down.

 

Yup it looks good going forward. Bryant and rizzo have been ice cold

 

Yeah they need to get it together but it has been good that others have stepped up. I looked at how much tickets are for the game Monday and they are at least $150 just for standing room. I've got family that will be there though. I wish I was one of them. What are you gonna do during the game??? I mean it starts pretty early but I'd say it's gonna run in to MNF. I wish we could just go in there and jump up on them and never look back but I'm dying to watch some postseason ball at Wrigley! Dilemma for sure!

 

I'm a die hard steeler fan but this is the Cubs, with Arrieta against the cards. 107 years man lol

 

Honestly I'm in Cubs mode and haven't even been checking with steelers. Can't believe that but Cubs fans knows how rare it is to be here.

 

Sadly, it is rare indeed. I may just watch the Cubs game and then have MNF recording and then try and catch up to it on dvr after the Cubs game goes off. It's a good problem to have. LOL.

 

You guys could always watch the Cubs and read the game day thread on here to stay in the loop right?

Do you think they will pitch Arrieta on four days rest? Or give him normal rest and hit the cards with Arrieta and Lester as a 1-2 punch for games 4 and 5?

 

They're definitely giving Arrieta the start on Monday. At least from everything that has been said anyway. I always like to watch every Steelers snap of the year so I will probably just watch the Cubs game and then watch MNF after it and maybe catch up to the game thread by the time it's over. The Cubs game will have been on 2 hours by the time MNF starts.

I don't wanna say because I'm afraid I'll jinx it. LOL! I will just say that if I played for St. Louis I wouldn't be looking forward to tonight...

 

I'm scared because he is due for a bad game. I'm scared because the winds are blowing out. I'm scared because the Cards have knocked out previous aces except for Bum. I'm scared because the Cards are the Cards. I'm scared because I Arrieta is overconfident. I'm excited because Arrieta is Overconfident and shows it. Arrieta is on a mission. I would rather take a Steelers loss than a Cubs loss today... how crazy is that? LOL wow. If both teams win it would be freakin awesome!

 

I take it back, Steelers need the win otherwise the season is in jeopardy

I had just texted my buddy and told him that Bryant's numbers at Wrigley at night were phenomenal and I thought he was about to get it going and then he absolutely pounds one! Yes!

Yeah he really wasn't himself. I was thinking all day that now would be the time for the other shoe to drop since we are Cubs fans but I was also thinking that Bryant and Rizzo were gonna show up tonight. I texted my buddy that BOTH of them were about to come up big and literally in like a few minutes they did! He texted me back and said "Keep calling these things!" LOL!

 

Lol yea for sure! Need to kill cards tomorrow and Jake will be fine. I'm nervous about hammel but I think the offense shows up and wins 7-5
