Yeah, just read that on SteelersDepot.
Goodell only gave him a conditional reinstatement back in April.
The league has not issued a timetable for when he will be reinstated.

Suggestion, this is the NFL's number 1-212-450-2000, call and inundate them with questions as to why this is happening.

Goodell to league office: "take your time on that reinstatement. It's only the Steelers".

Is it because the League is dragging their feet or has Bryant failed to complete some detail required by the league??

Coates out and Bryant out and the Will NOT overwork Brown!!!

Hhmmm!!! Could be a good thing , Hunter, JuJu, Rodgers and Ayers should be getting plenty of snaps with Ben!!!

Not that I don't echo many of the sentiments wasn't this all known before hand that it was conditional reinstatement and that each step such as rejoining the team for OTA'S, attending training camp and full participation required certain requirements to be met and the league signing off on them. So I'm sure this about him having his sponsor and being in a program and the league checking up on him. Once that happens clear for practice.

Yes but I think most of us expected him to be cleared for the start of camp.

From a fans perspective I think we all want him to be cleared and good to go. From a healthcare professionals point of view this would be considered the first real test of his sobriety and want to make sure he has the support system set up and doing everything the right way would be the biggest concern, so I can understand it but doesn't make it any less frustrating for us and I'm sure for Bryant as well. I think he will impress us all once he does get cleared to practice.

Meh, this is an ass backward way to do it.

The military wants us to have our unit's support and for us to be around positive members in the unit.

Yeah i thought the way the handled intially was backwards by keeping him from the team and having that support system but since they announced the whole conditional reinstatement it really seems like the NFL is trying something new rather than simply leftinga players suspension adn hoping he stays on the straight and narrow.

I was wondering the same thing. Has Bryant missed some deliverable or pissed someone else off? Or is it Goodell just sending a message that he makes the call and you better fall in line.

If true, Bryant is even dumber than originally thought.

Tomlin called 'procedural' so we'll see. I keep hoping that Bryant isn't another Eric Green but nothing would surprise me.

Now you know why we drafted juju in the 2nd round for insurance, it's one thing to have a process in place to allow a suspended player to return, but to give the impression that player is cleared for camp then wait until the first day of camp to say we still have some issues to clear up before he can start training camp is total BS....

We dont know what the league told him. If he finished OTA'S and went home back west then getting a drug program setup in Pittsburgh would have been a waste of time, so he could have been in contact with the league and was just waiting un the return to PA to enroll in a program with the league's ok. Now if he has stayed in the area and not met the requirements of the league then all involved are stupid

    Plan:

    1. Stop smoking
    2. Continue to stop smoking

Right, someone fax that to Goodell with MBs signature and we'll be good to go.
