I am always happy to admit I'm wrong, it happens frequently. So after the first day of OTA's and interviews with Bryant I'm ready to eat a nice helping of crow and admit I was wrong. His early interviews this year gave me the impression that he was angry at being asked about his sobriety and made it look like he was doing only what he needed to do to regain entry to the league. It wasn't encouraging and in the lottery thread I said seven games before he was suspended.

After reading his interview on Steelers.com I'm ready to admit I should have waited and not jumped to judgement. He seems to have really changed and sounds humble and ready to atone. Now he still has to continue to prove himself and maintain his sobriety but I have more confidence than I did before today.

    Glad I was wrong.

Man does he look to be in beast mode shape. I honestly don't see how you stop the offense with him in there. You can't roll coverage either way.

Lets hope he can walk the walk too.

I've been predicting a big year from him, I think he's determined to.

My doubts creep in after this year, after he proves his point, does he let his guard down or continue to build on what he's accomplished.

For his sake, I hope he's put his demons behind him. He has everything in front of him for the taking if he's able to keep his head straight.

The jury is still out on Bryant.

Let's hope a jury isn't involved in anything regarding Bryant.

I think he goes off this year. I especially liked his comments about how he changed everything from previous years, including the people he hung around with. Seems like fatherhood is the new driving force with him. Can't wait to see him play and I'm sure Ben is salivating.

If defenses try to double AB, good luck trying to cover Bryant one on one he's up to 225 lbs.

If he has a big year, he would do himself well not to extend and become a FA after 2. Then he will be gone. I'm hoping for a middle of the road year with steady improvement. Then extend him and hope he continues to improve.

he is saying all the right things that is for sure. I think he will have a great year. I will wait and see how he handles success before I give him a complete pass. like I said when he was drafted. all the talent in the world. its upstairs that has always derailed him. sorry, but that is a fact

Bryant is the alpha and omega for the Steelers in 2017. If the Steelers have any chance in hell of making it to the Super Bowl (which I don't think they do as long as Brady is QB for Patriots)... that slim chance will rely on Bryant being consistent week in and week out...and making an impact.

i'd lock him up as soon as we could with the eminent retirement of ben soon. give the next qb as many weapons as we can keep around them.

Who can say that Brady at age 40 wont get injured and sidelined for this season early on, age had a big effect on manning playing longer, and Brady is at that brittle stage in his career..........

Brady's style of play will keep him playing for another 3 years at minimum. He gets rid of the ball quick, plus he always has a good LT and RT to protect him from edge rushers.

    It's catching up to him:

Brady was on the injury report several times with knee and thigh issues last season, ... May 19 - 1:16 PM; Brady's wife said Tom had concussion in 2016....

I'll believe it when I see it. So far... I'm not seeing any decline in Brady's abilities at QB, unlike Roethlisberger.

Brady is almost 40, he will not be playing 3 more years. Believe it or not, he does get sacked. At his age, going to be tougher and tougher to withstand those shots.

Waaaaay to early to make the assessment that Steelers have no cause for concern.

i guess it depends on how the contract reads and what the cba allows. we wouldn't be alone in taking a chance on him, so would 31 other teams. it would be the same for anyone else too. if suspended we don't pay a full salary to him.
