BB didn't have Brady to make plays when the Pats needed them today. Don't be surprised if that's the case for the remainder of the season. BB "rainman" status is going to be challenged now that he doesn't have the QB on the team making the plays. The Pats ability to play good defense should keep them in games.

You could be right, we'll see. Do you think Tomlin is a .500 coach without Ben? We've had some awful defenses recently.

Didn't the Steelers finish .500 and in the playoff hunt until the last game of the season without Ben? They had very little offensive consistency due to injuries to QB's, RB's, WRs.

What do you define as awful and recently?

Two seasons ago I was starting to sour on him but after the job he did last year and the start they are off to this year, hard to knock him.

    No one is perfect.

2013 thru 2016, 2018 defense giving up loads of points. The Burns, Davis draft set us back also.
I think the offense has been decent since the GB SB with some major hiccups along the way because we have Ben. We have also had some bad finishes to the season the last few years.

Same here. Thought the Steelers were regressing on defense & Tomlin's hybrids weren't working out. Last year renewed much respect for Tomlin. This year I was getting giddy but losing Bush has me concerned. He was awesome today.

From most posters, I would have read it as sarcasm. Given that it was you, no point would be so foolish that I would doubt that you meant it.

I agree with the rest of your post. I was calling for the team to move on from Tomlin late in 2018, but he and his staff have done a very good job. I like the play-calling on offense. I even like what Butler is doing, and that is very difficult for me to admit. The Browns caught them a couple of times early on, but overall, the Steelers outcoached them today.
