Man this game is gonna be fun this week all of the build up leading up to it. The Browns have looked very good these last few weeks in particular Baker Mayfield. It’s gonna come down to whether or not he can make a few big throws in this game. This Steelers defense MUST clean-up their secondary issues and allowing the Browns to convert 3rd and long range. If they are as bad in this Browns game as they were the past few it’s gonna be tough to win this game. I think this is the week the defense and guys like Minkah step up and make a huge play that has a big impact on this game.

This is a huge huge 2 game swing in the standings and a big game for early to mid October. There is a huge huge difference in the Steelers being 5-0 to the Browns 4-2 and owning the head to head tiebreaker as opposed to the Browns being 5-1 and the Steelers being 4-1 and the Browns owning the early head to head tiebreaker.

huge 4 games coming up, well 3 then that big star for me :D

It's not crazy to think we can be 6-2, hopefully 8-0. If we go 4-4 then it will be a shame.

He had to get Xrays I think for ribs or chest area, he took some hard shots from the Colts.

I am more concerned about Pouncey and DeCastro’s health for the Browns game. Hoping both of them are ready to play.

Cowboys game just became even more interesting. Prescott is a better QB than Dalton, but Dalton protects the ball better and plays more conservative. Steelers had more potential at splash plays with Prescott as opposed to Dalton.

I'm worried because it's an inter-division game but the Browns' schedule has been as weak as ours and they're only sitting at a +7 RD. The only good team they've faced destroyed them (Ravens). On the other side of it, they're really dangerous and our secondary has a really good chance of being absolutely destroyed... thankfully, I think our offensive matchup against their defense is good.

It will be another shootout and the team with less turnovers should win

Agreed. I mean, the Steelers should have scored 45-50 yesterday had the refs not been the worst; plus, the Browns defense has been ass.

Turnovers and penalties. We CANNOT have stupid penalties on defense!

The offense is pretty darned disciplined but the D can't seem to stop the personal fouls.

Granted, this is as "real" as the Browns have been since the 80's but they have played worse creampuffs than we have and Mayfield is "NOT" the real deal. If you get to Mayfield early and often, he will fold like a cheap lawn chair. He is a double midget, mental and physical.

Plus its payback time for that simpleton Garrett. Our OL must be up to the challenge. We better be able to get pressure on their pip squeek QB because our DBs will get owned against them.

I went lurking over on a Browns board:

They think they can win but don’t necessarily believe they will.

like us they don’t think we really played a good team yet.

They think Garrett deserves revenge for what we did to him?

    They don’t like us.

Actually, the general consensus I have seen over there many times is that it’s not a rivalry until they start beating us.

    :clowns:

This is likely the most consequential game against the Browns since Tommy Maddox beat them in the playoffs. Probably won’t be a 41-0 beat down like has happened in the past. The Browns have loads of talent and they are starting to believe in themselves.

My cabin is in Carroll county Ohio which is just about 40 miles west of Pittsburgh, fans are 50/50 and the Browns fans told me they "know" that MR called Garrett a slur because of how Garrett reacted. I asked "if that's your logic, what did Garrett do to MR to provoke such a heinous thing?" Their answer? uhhhhhhhhh......MR is a pussy!

Xrays came back negative. Definitely sore ribs. But he will play.

let me mention the sore ribs again. ;)

I’m thinking there will be pretty good tv coverage for this game. We will see Wednesday afternoon.

I know our run defense is statistically good, but that Chubb/Hunt double whammy gives me concern. Broncos were gashing us in the 1st quarter before they mostly abandoned it. Sanders breaks off a big one yesterday. That's the matchup I will be paying attention to.

Yes, Sanders ripped off a big one. The rest of the game they were 15 carries for 20 yds. The run defense is the least of my worries.
