Broncos Fire OC Joe Lombardi today?

NFL news: Broncos fire offensive coordinator Joe Lombardi
This was a shocker to me as I thought as Lombardi was one of the reasons Bo Nix had success in the NFL. I was not high on his draft pick thinking he showed very little physical tools needed to be an NFL QB.

And, yes if you are wondering he is Vince Lombardi's grandson.

Joe Lombardi has a long history of being a QB coach, or offensive coordinator since coming to the NFL.

I wonder if there is more to the story here, as to why Sean Payton fired him?

Interesting. Looks like he worked for Payton in NO. Presumably Sean hired him in NO and in Denver. I always got the impression that Payton was calling the plays on O himself.
