bring porter

We could get him for cheap he knows the defnse and could teach carter more then anybody on our team. Porter had all the moves and i think that is how carter needs to play. He isnt as big as wood so he cant just push through people and he is taller then harrison so he cant just drop the shoulder. Also it gives us depth at olb amd after last year i really think we meed it. Also i would love for him to retire a steeler so i can break his jersey out forever. He is in my top five all time favs.

 

This seems more like a man crush wanting him back as a Steeler compared to being a smart business/team/etc decision.

 

I think it could be a smart move he provides depth and leadership. He knows the system amd hopefully that would mean if we have another season of injuries like last year timmins wouldnt have to move outside. He knows the system amd while he may not be what he once was but i still think he could help out and it would probably be for cheap. Just my thoughts i mean it may have only been for a few games but i was happy chad brown got to retire a steeler.

 

He also could play inside or out...as well as supply some swagger and tude

Thats what i really want back is the swag. Taylor has it but it is more of a chill swag. I want that guy to get the whole defense fired up amd i just dont see. Anybody that can do that on our defense.

Oh by no means act like ike is a shutdown corner.I can remember a few games where ike was n't at his best but because he is all we have ....we deal with it. Houston,N.E,kc all had his number.

 

If Ike doesn't get caught holding then he'll have a good game, but I've been seeing a lot of holding get called. He's losing it fast, this could be his final year. (in my book)

 

Ike may not get the picks but week in and out he is on the other teams top wrand for the most part he does very well against them. Doesnt anybody remember this pass defense before ike. My question is why our most of you steelers fans when all you do is complain about everybody on the team. Last year he was rated as the third best FA corner.

Im not saying that but damn the ravens board im on shows steelers players move love then this board does. Like i said if these players were as bad as most of you think then why do we keep winning. Something is not adding up. If all your players suck your team will suck.

The team needs middle linebackers now; and he is not that either.
I liked his play and hated his mouth.

 

Im not saying bring him in as the starter or even the top back up but i would rather have a washed up porter over timmons at olb. Timmons showed last year he isn't an olb. Twice in the last ten years we had no clue who was going to play olb. Remember they had to bring in chad brown a few years back becuase we had nothing left. Hell last year keisel almost had to switch to olb.

 

There's a difference in being a Homer, than telling it like it is.. Only player I said that sucks is Gay, I said Ike is getting slow he's more of a #2 guy. He's getting nailed for holding on many occasions = slowing down. The only reason he's getting put on the other teams #1 receiver is because Ike is the best we have, doesn't mean he's great he's all we have to put out there and he's starting to get beat up. #'s don't lie,, his stats got a boosted last season cus of the weak teams we played, so you can't go by that. He got owned vs the better than average receiver.

 

He played very good last year. Untile the playoffs he had one td scored on him. He basically removed welker from the game against the pats. All year long the papers and media were talking about how good he was playing and how the steelers got a great deal when they brought him back.
