It's an old formula. Basically keep your defense fresh while keeping theirs on the field. All the while keeping their offense off the field.

It starts in the trenches. This team desperately needs to build up this offensive line with multiple additions.

Center, right guard, and right tackle all need significantly upgraded.

I'd also focus on beefing up the defensive line in free agency.

Get an ILB that can show Devin Bush how to hit someone.

Devin Bush confuses me. I fell in love with the guy at first. Right off the bat he made some great plays. Now I wonder if he thinks he can extend his career buy playing tag football.

Bush's first few games I was watching with a very old Steeler fan who is now in Steeler heaven. He was losing his facilities at the time both mental and physical. Bush made a huge play, good solid hit and he blurted out, "there is our next Lambert". Bless his soul!

Agree with everything except Bush. Tomlin uses ILB terribly. I've never seen a better athlete as an off ball LB than Shazier and even he had struggles in coverage and had low tackle totals relative to other top OBLB.

If Bush played for most other teams he would look way better than he does. Also he's starting to play better as he rehabs.

You wouldn’t think this but it was 30/30 even TOP for the WildCard game at Chiefs.

Please bring back the scoring of Points, like maybe try to break 30 before my daughters wedding and she is only 10.

Yeah and the Steelers ran more plays. Not having a run game does make it hard to close games in the second half though.

I don't see us doing anything of the sort as we have been running the same offense forever. We're predictable and defenses know what we're going to do before we break the huddle. When you do a run- run -pass play sequence and the defense have 8 in the box, you know what's going to happen. No adjustments, no outside the box tactics, our team has run out of ideas or too stubborn to alter the plan. Change needs to be from top down, or we'll continue to be "competitive", but I doubt we'll see a PO win for a while. JMO>

I did like it the old way, a good defense and a ball control offense. Grind it out and don’t turn the ball over. They won by not giving the other team the ball to play with, and it could be frustrating to play against the old Steelers.
The only bad thing is that a ball control offense is generally not a coming back defense. If they were down by much, it was debatable whether they could win.

The best defense against Mahomes, Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce, et al is to keep them off the field.

Re-establish the running game and design the offense for high efficiency.

In other words players that have a lot of drops need moved elsewhere.

Bring in a QB that protects the football

Yeah this is dependent on getting a lead early.

I'm not sure they have much chance for next year anyways.

I'd rather see them build up the team as a whole than overpay for a QB
