This is a terrible hire. Flores burned everyone who ever helped him in the NFL. I think he is bipolar or something. There isn't a more toxic coach in the NFL. Why not get Tom Cable for OL coach, and Urban Meyer as ST coach while we're at it?

Thought it applied to coordinators as well, happy to be corrected.

    Wrong!

In November, after tabling and reworking a proposal from the spring, team owners approved a proposal that would reward teams who developed minority talent who went on to be GMs or head coaches elsewhere. If a team lost a minority executive or coach to another team to be a GM or head coach, that team would receive a third-round compensatory pick for two years. If a team lost both a coach and personnel member, they'd receive a third-round compensatory pick for three years.

    Nice try though!

Remember all those clueless fans that said Tomlin never hires any good coaches, he just wants a flunky, he doesn't want anybody to challenge him .

Tomlin said Flores resume speaks for itself, and he's a good defensive teacher, he won't be Minkah's position coach so I'm not worried about that.

The Steelers don't need good PR, they're one of the best run organizations in the NFL, they need good coaches .

Flores would be Texans head coach if he did not sue the NFL so that is his fault

Everybody in the media that I have seen is praising the hire, some fans always need something to complain about I guess :lolol:.

That's what the media does, Its funny that most of his players never liked him,, and i dont remember any taking up for him when he was fired, except maybe 1 or 2.. but i do remember how he was a bad person and how he treated people wrong.... again goodluck to him and the Steelers

He WAS a head coach and for whatever reason the Dolphins felt that he was not adequate in that role. Flores thinks it was because of the color of his skin. Does any rational person believe that in this day and age? Could it have been something else? Did he simply just suck as a head coach maybe?

I wonder where Flores would get the idea that his race played a factor in losing his job despite making tremendous progress with a team that tanked his first year. I wonder where he got the idea that his race was a factor when other teams passed on him.

Actually, no, I don't. He got the idea from decades of the NFL having a piss-poor record when it comes to hiring African Americans as head coaches.

You are the only person I know who cares about what people say on ESPN.

Hiring Brian Flores worked out so badly for the Dolphins their owner could be forced to sell the team; but Skip Bayless thinks this is a great hire so I'm sure that outweighs Flores' insane baggage. You convinced me.
