This is the story that won't die. Honestly if my choices were Cleveland or New England I'd accept the tag and stay in California. One team is a dumpster fire, the other isn't as cold as Green Bay but close. Heck pull a Cousins and play 2 years under the franchise tag and make some mad cash then sign a fully guaranteed deal later.

I'd seriously laugh if Kahn does right after they forced the Browns to go even bigger. That would be epic. Run up the price then let the top bidder win.

No way in hell we can give up our first round pick. Even if we had stability at the QB position. That is asking way to much.

First Round pick isn't just my issue with the deal.

    Losing both George and Pat?!

    No thanks.

I think it's one of those three things, which I might consider if we didn't also have to then give him a 4/$120M contract. Insanity.

I thought the Patriots and Browns seemed like pretty convenient name drops this morning. Are there two franchises we hate more than Cleveland and New England? All of the sudden talks have started again with the 9ers and us? Kind of surprised they didn't say Baltimore was interested.

The report was the trade package was set for both teams, is was up to Aiyuk to workout and accept a deal if he wanted to play for one of those teams.

Yup. Everyone freaked out, but it felt like a leverage play to me. Aiyuk very clearly (multiple reports have said it) prefers Pittsburgh and they likely wouldn't offer enough. I think this happens and the final package is steep but overly painful.

If they just want one it cannot be our 1st round pick. Tough call on who to give if it came down to that.

Hell, I say we give them the cities MLB club for him. A lot of Pittsburgh people may not mind;)

Possibility that Russ might be part of trade . That certainly wouldn’t bother me. Question is, how much more will 49ers want?!

I'd bet there's a 0.00002% chance Russ is part of it, but I honestly prefer we move forward with Fields anyways.

Let Cleveland have him. Honestly, not worth all that money. Also, why is he demanding out of San Fran? Is there more than meets the eye?
    Nevermind, greed kills.

I think a part of his cheap one year deal was a no trade clause.

@Steelersfan43 @Steelersfan43 … explain the reason why we should give up the farm for Aiyuk? Or is it going to Brownies that you dislike? Browns are digging a huge financial hole.

Why would they want Muth if they already have Kittle. If they really want Muth then straight up Muth for Aiyuk

Remember the Gronk and Hernandez days?!

Think of it something similar to that. Sam Fran has the Offense to run it as well.

If we can get him at a bargain, yes i agree. But giving up Fry and Pickens? Be stupid.
