If i was trading player, comp picks would never enter the discussion. WHile trading/receiving future picks can be a bit of a crapshoot, you get the to pick where the other teams record was, a comp pick dependent on so many outside factors its not something you can really calculate.

I dont think it will. He is going to either stay in SF or not. So their choices are to trade him now to us OR keep him for the year disgruntled and lose him in the offseason and get only a compensatory in return. They can tag and try to trade him again, but Aiyuk would have the same leverage to go where he wants.

Exactly. The best it could be is a late 3rd. Or they can trade him for a second plus some stuff to us. Dont know what the exact offer is for sure, but its better than the return they're getting otherwise

We can scheme him open. He probably won’t get deep posts etc without being doubled but he himself said he is used to be double covered.

I had heard SF was willing to accept our second and third next year without any players and we balked at that. If we did that we would be without picks 2,3 and 4 next year and I don’t think we want to do that. It sounds like we probably offered a 2025 2nd and a 2026 3rd.

I honestly would prefer not to give up any players but if we had to part with Daniels I guess we could with the depth we have at that position.

CA3 the most talented WR to ever put up 150 yards in 2 years.

It's so difficult to judge whether he's not what we thought he could be or simple lack of use. Are they not using him because they can't figure out creative ways to get him the ball or is he just not good enough to warrant the targets?

I feel like a guy like him would be a major weapon in a more creative offensive system.

Well it seems Khan is not going to sell the farm for Aiyuk. In which I am glad. The 9ers want players to help them this year and Khan has only offered picks. No one really knows what picks.

Destroying the team would be giving up TJ, Minkah, or Pickens.

That 2025 offensive line that you have proposed would be awesome.

I agree he must be the luckiest player/ or very good agent in all of football. His earnings for not too many important wins are ridicules.
    I can't figure it out?

The ball is on the court of the 49ers...They need to offer what Aiyuk want or trade him to the steelers!

I think luck has an edge because he played those two years under the tag and didn't really suffer an injury, parleyed that into a big payday with tons of guaranteed money, managed to get a second deal with even more and then had some injury problems. In a league where guys destroy their knees just walking on the field he just was the luckiest.

Wonder how 49er fans are feeling about BA wanting out of San Fran? Wonder if they are also tired of the drama BA brings? If the Steelers pay him 30 mil a season, they have proverbially shot themselves in the foot. Pickens will be gone after rookie contract and we are right back where we started. Hopefully we can win a Superbowl in the meantime.
