the 26th Aiyuk thread, but I am still 50/50 that it happens, maybe even w Pickens being part of the package out the door - WHO KNOWS!!!

 

If it happens I predict a divided lockerroom as the WR room can't have two Alpha males and one of them has already shown diva like traits. It will start great but end badly, like very badly.

I keep telling you people it is James Daniels and a 3rd round pick for Aiyuk.

The 49ers get a starter in exchange for Aiyuk. The 49ers are in a win now mode, just like the Steelers. They don't want 2025 draft picks and nothing else for one of their starters.

 

The 49ers are not stupid....

 

I don't think they draft another Qb. Tomlin is vested in Fields for at least 6-7 seasons no matter how he plays.

 

Why is that Stupid? James Daniels would be a big upgrade for their O-Line, and the 49ers drafted Bandon Aiyuk's replacement in the 1st round.

The 49ers are doing what every other team is doing evaluating their 1st round pick. If Ricky Pearsall is balling out in camp and preseason, they keep can Deebo as their #1 / #2 WR along side Pearsall and they just signed their #3 WR Juan Jennings to a 2 year extension. So, why do the 49ers need to keep Aiyuk for the 2024 season; why not improve your 2024 team by adding another quality starter to the O-Line?

This is also why I don't believe the 49ers are wanting to get back a WR in the Trade. With Kittles and McCaffrey you don't need another receiving option.

 

The offer is way too low for a player like Aiyuk...It will take minimun Daniels + second round pick....Big minimun

 

Poni is about on same level as Mark Madden.

 

Other than diffusing the potential bomb that is Pickens the trade is a wash then. They get a more established veteran player who wants more money for a younger player who will want paid soon. It doesn't add much.

 

I can't wait to hear what Madden has to say about the Pens this year. He was pounding the drum to dump Guentzel for the last few years as well as trading or releasing Malkin and Letang. I'm betting by September he is full voice about trading Crosby for magic beans.

Hell, they probably WANT James Daniels and 1st round pick, and Pittsburgh is probably suggesting my offer of James Daniels and a 3rd round pick.

I posted this in the tread about Dulac reporting that Troy Fanutanu was being looked at in camp at the RG position.

Although, I just read that Mason MCCormick is looking like a beast in camp.

 

For Aiyuk to be in Pittsburgh with camps in full session and preseason in full swing this coming weekend tells me that this thing isn't just pillow talk anymore.... the Steelers and 49ers are actively working out details.. and Aiyuk is talking contract

 

There was a tweet today mentioning the Browns as the new trading partner for him. Whatever, when and or if it happens, and with whom, then we can talk about it, lol.

 

Just keep adding more Void years to player contracts, and then in 2027 declare Bankruptcy and move to St. Louis.
