Its a travesty, that Terry Bradshaw was not selected to the NFL 100 all time team. They select Manning, Farve, Elway, and Marino over him WTF!! The Blonde Bomber!!! Bradshaw will always be my Guy man!!!

Sucks from our fanbase point of view but that's always been the case in regards to TB especially in the new era... Being clutch and winning the trophy don't make up for the numbers in his regard. Which oddly enough having crazy numbers but no hardware stymies those after him.

We know the story and he mattered that's all that matters!

Elway can’t carry the jock straps of Bradshaw or Marino, Favre. Maybe Manning if wet .

Yea but in the big games he shined like a diamond. It seems the bigger the game the better he played.

Compare his stats to the QBs in his era. It was a different game he played. The blond bomber did more than throw passes & it's ridiculous he isn't in the top 5.

Sadly it is like bigbenhotness stated. There is not much of a statistics standpoint to augment Terry's case. For example, Roger Stabauch had retired as the highest rated QB; not an easy feat by any means no matter what era. It truly is a shame.

That said, I personally discounted this entire list already by not having Troy in it. Ken Houston over Troy Polamalu!?!?! Really?!?!

Using stats to determine who was better is a bogus venture. Way way too many variables that goes into how the stats are acquired. The best wr to ever play the game might have played in 1929 but no one threw the ball back then. AP won't be getting into the Hall of Fame if he played for Air Coryell. I'm done ranting.
No Troy, No Bradshaw = bullsh!t list

They should do a top 100 cheaters list. No, they would fluk that up as well.

A 12 time Pro Bowler and a 2 time All Pro. Played for both the Oilers and Redskins. Is accredited as the most dominant safety of the 1970s with 9 straight Pro Bowls. However, he never won any Championships and only has 2 All Pro nods to Troy's 4.

Again though, he edges Troy in the stats category as well as longevity. As I said though, BULLJIVE!! Troy changed the Strong Safety position forever. Heck, not even Ken Houston himself ever win DPOY.

Troy is the ONLY Strong Safety in the 100 Year NFL History to win the Defensive Player of The Year award. Emlen Tunnell sadly cannot be classified as such as terms such as Free Safety or Strong Safety were not even terms during the time he played in.

    Yep.

Nothing but a "beauty pageant" for stats. Most comical aspect stems from one of the round table guests major talking points. "Stats don't always tell the whole story..."

    Guess who said that?!?!

That's my point about stats in general. They can be interpreted different ways and they are only truly accurate when compared in a vacuum. There is no such vacuum, and therefore stats can only paint a picture. They are subjective and can be deceiving.

The team with the fewest rushing yards from scrimmage. The stats don't lie, right? So does that team have a bad running back? Bad line? Poor playcalling? All of the above? What if that team had the best qb/wr corps in the league and ran less than 25% of the time? What if they had to air it out because they were always playing from a deficit?

The stats would simply show a bad rushing attack. But that isn't necessarily accurate. It isn't a complete picture.

Bradshaw was the anti-Marino. Marino has the stats, but played worse in the playoffs. Just the opposite of Bradshaw.

Marino needed what Elway got. Some defense and a running game before finally winning it all.

If you are a QB on a team that had a running game and defense, you get less passing stats.

If we drafted Marino, he would have won at least two S.B.`s with us, but he would have had less passing starts.

Marino also had Mark duper and Mark Clayton that took 5 yard Marino passes and ran for 50 yards with them.

I watched Bradshaw and I agree with him getting snubbed. Swann made some amazing catches that had no right being caught. The Steelers won with the run and defense. Put Bradshaw on a lesser team in the 70's and no one would know his name.

That being said he is and always will be a Pittsburgh hero!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You shouldn’t even make the list without multiple Super Bowls period. The point of the game is championships, all the other stat crap is for window lickers. It’s about leadership, decision making and game management. Marino and Kelly were great but not the greatest. Elway lost more than he won as did Stauback. He’ll I’d rather have Aikman and Plunkett or Fouts. The standard should start with Championships, anyone can run numbers up and use videotape of opposing defensive calls to win. This list is as good as the dildos who picked it.

As one announcer said during a 70's playoff game; "on Bradshaw's tombstone they should only say 'He Won'"

Another Tomlin stab in a post about Bradshaw...lol
Obsess much? Try obsessing about how teams win games. With the players on the field.

My complain is Staubach getting it over TB. IMO these were the top 2 guys in that era and TB was 2-0 vs him.......jmo.

I like Terry he's a good kind hearted funny guy. His stats don't put him into the top 10 QB's. Sure the guy one 4 super bowls.

He was a huge reason we won 2 Super Bowls. Without him we maybe don't win a few of them.

But he struggled mightily from 1970-1974, at times even benched by Noll.

But once he got some talent around him he shined.

For his Era he was one of the best but he doesn't hold a candle of QB talent from 1980 to current.

Roger would of gotten us had Jackie Smith not dropped a sure fire touchdown pass that hit him in the chest.

I dislike the Cowboys with everything I got, but Roger Staubach is a hard guy not to like and respect.

He did a lot for the game in the 1970's, but he kind of got a late state has he was a Navy Vet.

It's todays World sadly, like everything else...effed up...

A whole Entourage of ex players and Coaches on pregame, postgame 24/7... EVERYTHING is stats! Comparing this guy to that guy, and when they're arguing...They still use nothing but STATS!

IMO it's to keep the young crowd involved...They don't go on TV or media to talk about Staubach, Bradshaw, Bird, Bill Russell, Clemente, Hank Aaron...They just don't... It's the " instant gratification, flavor of the month thing "

Which is just stupid and biased...Eras, opponents, schemes, RULES, the sheer size and speed of the Athletes ( Roids )

Winning! And being on great teams that continually won is blasise...Todays writers and anylists want LeBron James dunks, Mahommes sidearm missiles, Aaron Judge hitting it a mile... It's just the entertainment factor of todays generation...

    It is what it is.....

Bradshaw's stats are skewed because of his first 2 seasons. He had 19 TD's and 46 interceptions going into his 3rd year.
