Bosa signs deal

The 49ers have Trent Williams but the rest of their OL is average, and he will probably be going against Highsmith, but Heyward and Watt should be able to pressure Purdy.

 

He does well against some of the top guys. Might surprise some folks. Chuks might have issues if they move him around though.


I think he knows that even if he balls out this year, he's not getting the big money from the Steelers. He's playing for a contract from another team next year.

 

I'm thinking Herbig has some fun too. He's surprising people with his abilities and I see that continuing at least into the first half of the season.

 

That entire defensive front can cause a lot of problems. How about Armstead and Hargrave inside? That's why they're tough. Because they don't just have Bosa. That entire defensive line is nasty. If our interior OL doesn't communicate well and be ready for the quickness and power they bring inside, that could wreck the entire offensive gameplan. The offensive line is getting an early test.

 

When they play renegade, 49, 49ers will be shatting themselves. heck Warren alone will knock bosa's di*k in the dirt. Then wait until mt. Washington gets hold of him. Not worried. They are just another bump in our road to 7.

 

The good part is That there's 2 guys in that room that played the 49ers last year, so they can give some insight on how to handle them. Couple that with Them having to go against Hargraves in practice, you might see a little better performance than you think.

I'm not saying they're not going to play well. I'm just commenting that there are players to worry about other than Bosa.

Why is it that you believe you know what I think? I certainly didn't share that information here, yet you say they will play better than I think.

Maybe not. I just always find it fascinating when someone tells me what I think with zero information from me about what I think.

 

They may not have any big name Oline-men save Williams, but the unit works well together. It was ranked 5th in pass blocking in 2022 but lost its RT since. As it sits now, they aren't considered a top unit but they are above top 20; not dominant but hardly hogwash. But hopefully, as you say, we should be able to apply some pressure.

Here we go. Sorry man I won't try to infer your thoughts on the interior match-ups by implying they might have some institutional knowledge of the interior match-ups and have a plan. Especially with an off-the-cuff phrase meant to imply the same and not as a slight to your minds inner workings.

 

Last I heard Bosa was in New York partying it up. Has not been seen around the 49ers facility since January. I can't see him doing much on Sunday.

I have a dollar in my back pocket that if Bosa plays on Sunday he will pull a Hamstring or his groin about halfway through the game.

Bosa wasn't doing one of those "Hold-Ins", he spent all his offseason away from the 49ers.

Read my posts again. I didn't infer anything, you did. You were saying I was wrong about what I thought, when you didn't have a clue what I thought.

I like the Steelers personnel and the moves they made on the offensive line. I think they can play very well in this game. I guess your green sarcasm statement didn't take that into account. Which is exactly the opposite of what you are inferring.

Talking real football and identifying matchups doesn't qualify as taking a side, which is what you seem to think I am doing.

But now you know you were completely wrong about what you "thought" I was thinking. You can look at all my posts here and figure out where I stand on most things. I certainly don't bang on the team for no reason, I support the team, the organization, and I always hope for success.

By the way, if you want to have a real conversation about the offensive line, blocking schemes, protections, or anything else football related, let me know. That way you won't have to use the green print and we can find out what you really mean and how much both of us know about the subject.

I didn't say you thought they would be bad. I just used a well known colloquial phrase to say they might be better prepared for those guys you mentioned than most pundits would have us believe.
