I have a challenge for You.
I'm currently doing a reread of one of My favorite Series:Necroscope by Brian Lumley.
The 1st book is a slow burn that introduces You to the how, and Why of the character. It's a Scifi/Horror/Fantasy series.
The Challenge is.....Read the Dang Thing LoL. I can't count the movies, and books that have borrowed (stolen) from this Series, and yet give it No Love.

Okay, I'll bite. I'm almost done with Stephen King's new one. Got three more books after that, then I'll put this on my list.

    Dang....I might wait then.
You know My actual favorite of that Series was written after it was over...The Wind Through the Keyhole. I Love that book....I believe it actually sits between book 4, and 5 of the Dark Tower series chronology .

Hadn't heard of that one. I thought I had them all. Fairy Tale is very good so far.

Last few years I've been so into the psychological thriller book stuff. Something about a damaged woman I enjoy reading. My favorite writer in the genre is Freida McFadden. Everyone of her books has a great shocking twist the last 2-3 pages.

What most you guys read is way to heavy for me.
