I'm not buying any of it.

And it will have no effect on the playoffs - except maybe to tick them off so they can pull another "no one respects us" stunt.

Well it certainly makes any differences between Ben and Haley seem trivial by comparison, Kudos to them for being able to put aside their differences in pursuit of a common goal.

Im not buying any of this. ESPN must be short on stories this week. Sounds like minor squabbles to me.

IF true, and Bellicheat will leave, it figures the Pats would break up the band when Ben is at the end of his career

There might be some truth to parts of this article, but there's a ton of assumptions being made by the writer. Lots of assumptions being made based on Tom Brady's body language. Unnamed team staffers, who clearly haven't said much since there's few detailed quotes, and body language seem to make up the gist of this entire article.

I'm sure Brady is an ******* with a huge ego. He seems like that type. He would also have a ton of power in that building due to his success, but he's a 40 year old player and is replaceable. Belichek has shown over the years that everyone can be replaced, everyone. The Pats went 11-5 with Matt Cassell.

So is there a power struggle? Maybe, but if so it's only because Brady knows his career is nearing the end and that he also knows Belichek will have no problem replacing him. Belichek has all the power. Kraft would never choose a 40 year old player over Belichek, it simply wouldn't happen. If Belichek leaves, it's because he's choosing to leave on his own terms, it's not because Brady won the power struggle. If Belichek does leave, expect that franchise to go through hard times. Brady has never been the reason for all the success, it's always been Belichek.

I heard the rumor about Billy wanting to trade Brady and go with Garoppolo months ago. Supposedly, it was the first time Kraft told him no and Bellychuck let both backups walk just to spite Kraft. It was on one of the local afternoon sports talk shows

I'm with Shaner, there is some substance there as evidenced by the personal trainer being escorted from the building and stuff. I don't know if I'd go as far as to say the empire is rotting from within though

I agree with both posts. The article makes some points but I think it's over sensationalized. Coincidentally I was just reading about the TB12 Method last night. Brady needs to get away from that shaman asap. The biggest reason for Brady's longevity is him avoiding hits by 1) getting rid of the ball quickly and 2) the NFL sissifying the rules to protect him from big hits. Im sure his "method" is playing a small part too, but you can't out run Father Time. If what they are saying in the article is true and he's bringing other players into his 'method' and foregoing directions from the team, then that's dangerous. Maybe his method of staying flexible by working out with rubber bands and stretching works for him as a QB, but everyone else on that team sans the kickers NEEDS heavy doses of weight training. Edelman and Gronk need physical size and explosiveness which is best be acquired through weight training, and not working out with resistance bands.

And to have the mindset that injuries are not because of the hits but rather your lack of pliability is absurd and disregards the physical nature of the game. But of course a guy who has never taken repeated hits past the LOS or had to tackle another large man moving at speed would probably believe this. It sounds like he's been brainwashed and sucked into some fitness cult. My God the guy is hanging around Tony Robbins, if that isn't a red flag then I don't know what is. My guess is that it is the result of being married to Jizzelle and the influence she has over him.

Lol it boils down to the fact Brady hasn’t been named Patriot of the Week? What a dumb thing. But I can see the GOAT looking in his mirror and speaking in the 3rd person ... “it’s week 15 and you haven’t been named Patriot of the week” as a tear pools in his eyes

I believe it. The Patriots are ripe for the taking. Remember, I live in the middle of Patriot land- and none of my Patriots fans friends are surprised by any of this. In fact, they keep telling me- they aren't that good.

Much ado about nothing. No organization that large and that successful doesn't have some conflict between major players. I'm sure there is tension from time to time about stuff but they managed to keep together for this long hard to imagine they are going to fly apart at this point. But I guess it might be enough to piss Brady off to the point he goes off during the playoffs.

The problem is that's the case every year. Other than 2007, the Patriots are never that good, on paper, yet they seem to just keep winning

Garapollo was doomed to be traded. He spent too long waiting on Brady and when Brady said he had several years left to play, Garapollo had to go one way or the other. If he is any good, and it seems he is, sitting the pine for years was not an option for his own career`s sake.

It all seems to fit, that Brady saw a threat and he gave management an ultimatum. I`m thinking Belicheat wanted to start the transition and Brady wanted none of it. It makes perfect sense. It`s like they are stuck with old Brady because he still plays good and for what he has done for the team in the past. Brady has unique leverage even though logic says his career is near the end.

Just another ruse to take everyone's minds off the cheating and bias officiating that takes place.
The article also mentions a rekindled relationship between Bellicheat and Goodell and a "private " multi hour meeting between the two. Gotta come up with a "gameplan" for the playoffs and pass along Riverons new "private" number....

They just know how to beat teams with the simple dink and Donk.. you don't need much to get away with it. They do the same thing every game and get away with the same crap agaisnt soft zone D.

Why would Joe Montana care about being Patriot of the week?

How gullible do they think we are? This is obviously a set up along these lines: Even amidst infighting the Patriots come together and win another Super Bowl. And then we'll get a photo of Brady, Belichick, and Kraft hugging around the Lombardi that's supposed to make NFL fans feel are warm and fuzzy inside.

    You read it here first.

Whatever, I can care less. My only interest is winning the divisional round, taking down the Pats down in the AFCCG and winning Super Bowl 52.

In between all of that, if this is all true, the Patriots can argue, fuss and fight as much as they see fit.
