Getting back to original posters thread, these are
all valid points you bring up. I did say we over achieved this year IMO with a weak schedule. I did not say as someone suggested that we keep with the same old same old as some board members want to do.The Rooney's will never blow up this team, but getting back to original posters thoughts I hope the Rooney's look into some of your concerns and act on them. It will make for a better team, which is all Steeler fans
want. Which is to be a strong playoff team year in year out, capable of winning a superbowl. IMHO we are not right now. Player evaluation has hurt this team a lot. If I am not mistaken
we have nobody left from the 2008/2009 drafts. I personally do not have confidence in KC/MT to get us were we need to be.

I guess you can call me moronic too but the OP, while having some valid points really is asking for trouble when he blames the erratic performance of the QB on the QB alone. Take a look at the games, the Saints game was a rare game in which I'll agree he was off but when you look at other games we lost or struggled in, what was the common denominator? The man told you himself after the Colts game, he is a lot better when he isn't shrugging off sacks on every drop back and I'll give 2 sacks per game as his fault but I see something different. I see a QB who lives and dies with the o-line, it was why Bell was so important but too many teams get through while only rushing 4, that leaves 7 guys in coverage, you'll also look at the running stat against these teams and you'll see that wasn't going good either. What I'm saying is we are good at QB for 2 maybe 3 more years, the team needs to address 2 holes on the line and the DB situation this next draft, plain and simple. I think Cody Wallace can play for Foster, after all it seemed when Bell was running his best it was with Wallace in and Foster out, and that leaves a stud left tackle and Beachum could move over to right and regulate Gilbert to the bench, the line would be much better. The O-line improved a lot but they still have problems with teams that are strong up front, even if they are losing teams and it is due to erratic play of the o-line, poor play calling and design when you know the QB has little or no time, and failure to address these problems at practice but then again, when going against the practice squad it must appear like a solid game plan, oh well.
