Blount suspended 1 game

LaGarrette Blount was suspended today for 1 game for his arrest and violation of the leagues substance abuse policy. Obviously this is stemming from the Bell/Blount marijuana arrests this past summer. It's on bleacher report if you'd like to read it or if someone wants to post the link. I'm on my phone and can't post it for some reason. But it's interesting. I'm hoping bells suspension is only 2 games.. But Blount got 1 without a conviction. League could come down hard on bell if they want to.

 

I think had Blount been doing the driving he would be looking at the two game possibly four game suspension. Either way I still think it is a bit much for a first time offender.

I read a blurb in the local paper about it, that said the league didn`t specify WHEN the violation occured.

I`m assuming it was the incident with Bell, but is it possible, this is a seperate violation?

Also, I`m not sure if I am remembering correctly, but I seem to recall reading something a few months ago, about Bell taking a plea deal, that involved community service, and some sort of counseling program, to avoid harsher penalties from the law, and/or the league.

Anyone remember any of the specifics about that?
