LOL!!! Someone told me just yesterday that I was short. I said "well I'm tall enough to ride everything at Disneyworld and that's really all that matters." I stand firmly by that statement!

It was the beat writer's who said it Mark Kaboly and Alan Robinson, they're around the team all the time so they would notice a difference in Bell's behavior.

That was a lay up :smiley1:

    Priorities!

Thats not what I was saying, I was speculating on why he has withdrawn, lot of the media will smile at you and then stab you in the back when you turn around.

As for beat writers, Bouchette supposedly has his finger on the pulse of the team more then anyone and I can't tell you how many times he has been wrong.

Why doesn't Bell take some pointers off
the bus? Future HOF Bussy was accessible.
He never had a problem being courtious. Hell of a lot more accomplished than Blount. Why has Blount been with all these teams in such a short period?

Again - to repeat my first point - why does accessibility to the media make him a good guy or a bad guy? How does that affect the quality of his character or his play?

There may be a number of reasons why Bell is being influenced badly - but just because he doesn't want to speak to reporters doesn't strike me as being a hugely significant one.

I guess I missed the point I was trying to get across? The Rooney's have built over years
a very desirable product, they deserve that their employee's act like first class citizen's which may mean doing community work, accessible to the media, signing kids autographs etc. etc. Just because they are paid boatloads of money, doesn't make them any better than you and me.

Ok, I get what you're saying.

I suppose I don't see accessibility to the media as on the same level as community work and signing kids autographs. Reporters complaining that they don't get a soundbite from someone doesn't make me suspect their moral integrity.

Now, it might be that there is much to suspect from Bell on that count, and his actions following the bust might suggest that. But the initial report itself was simply about him being a bit off with reporters. That's not a character flaw in my book.

OK... I was trying VERY hard to keep my mouth shut about this topic, and as usual... I FAILED!!!
Two of my absolute favorite Steelers Players, were HORRIBLE, with the "media"...
    Jack Lambert, and James Harrison...
Do you think they were bad people, `cause they either didn`t like to talk to the press, or expressed their opinions, to the media, when their opinions were`nt popular opinions to have?:hmmm:
I liked what both of them did on the field for us, and what they did off it, was their own buisness, IMHO...:yeehaw:
    Just Sayin...
    GO STEELERS!!!
