Don't agree with all of that.

QB: No way they drop Landry already, the QB's will be Ben, Grad and Landry.

RB: Not sure Poole will make it, think they will be ok with Archer and Will J rounding out the RB's

WR: Hoping this is how it plays out as well, AB, Wheaton, Lance, Bryant, JB and Bey. Carrying Bryant almost forces them to have 6.

TE: Don't know anything about Waters but might go with Branchflower and would go Palmer over Paulson. But it will probably be Miller, Spaeth, Palmer and Paulson with Branchflower on the PS.

OL: I think I'd go with 8 here instead of nine, leave Simmons off.

DL: Agree with who they have on it but would add one more, Arnfelt to make it 7 DL which is why I only went with 8 OL.

LB: I'd be fine with this but would like to see a way to keep Garvin. I'm very intrigued by Howard Jones but might be better to stash him on the PS and put Garvin on.

CB: If LeBeau and Lake are to be taken at their word, McCain will make it, both he and Blake were identified as the players as to why they didn't feel the need to draft a CB higher. That means Richardson would have to go to the PS or only carry 6 DL and bump CB's up to 6. Going to be interesting to see which way they go here. Maybe carry 5 WR's (probably likely anyway) and can go 7 DL and 6 CB's.

Safety and ST: Easy, only way I see it playing out.

I started to write an analysis myself, but in all honesty I think this year's cuts are going to be very tough. That last 10 players cut are going to be the toughest. The competition for almost every position is very tight. QB, RB, LS, and K seem to be the only positions where I can say, yep we don't need more than that. Every other position has a competition. THAT is awesome for this team. Same was not true last year.

Didn't even finish reading it. He had some bonehead things to say (Poole over Landry, Paulson and Waters over Blanchflower and Palmer), but then I got to the DL section and he really blew me away.

He doesn't think McLendon's spot is safe, and he doesn't think it should be, either.
He thinks Cam Thomas is coming in to take over as NT and doesn't consider him at the DE position.
He knows we're in a youth movement because we didn't re-sign those two 27 year olds (and replaced one of them with an older 27 year old).
He thinks Stephon Tuitt AND Josh Mauro will see significant reps at DE. He says Mauro could start.
No mention of Arnfelt at all.

I don't even want to know what he said about our LBs and DBs.

I must admit, I didn't read much of his analysis, just the player projections.

I could see Eric Waters being a huge steal for us. He's a gifted athlete(39.5" vertical) with decent speed(4.58), very good hands, and a very good blocker. The TE's at missouri were used almost exclusively as blockers and caused him to fall. It wouldn't surprise me one bit if Palmer and Paulson were dropped for Waters and Blanchflower.

I think Waters would have to have a huge preseason to make the roster, but I could see him being on the PS pretty easily, especially if we only keep 3 TEs.

There's always a surprise here or there. I could definitely see him on the PS. But no way in hell do he and Paulson make it over Blanchflower and Palmer.

how about will j? is he better than palmer and blanchflower? he will get a helmet on gameday. will either of these guys, including waters?

I think they have bigger plans for him and keeping him on the field as the 2nd at times and 3rd TE as well as the rest of his duties will be expanded greatly this year. they are finding a way to get him out there and keep him out there it sure looks like to me. including the no huddle.

I think the question is how many will they keep? palmer could be the odd man out, because blanch can be sent to the squad. I like palmer and if we weren't trying to keep willj out there I'd say he would make it. but?

I thought Will J could have been a good weapon for us last year, I hope they get him involved this time. I've been hearing some good things about Blanch, getting more and more intrigued about him.

I guess this is sort of what I was saying. I could see Miller, Spaeth, and Blanchflower as our 3 TEs on the roster, with Waters being on the PS. That is just what I see happening at the moment. Paulson I think played himself off the roster last year, and Palmer just doesn't bring much if any threat of anything but run blocking. With Adams having shown he CAN do that role, I don't see a point in keeping a guy who does basically the same thing with the only difference being what position he technically played.
