Don't know if any one got into it a bit? When I was a young boy (9-10) my oldest sister and father would bring me to a huge Bingo Hall in Pittsburgh. I was only young person there and nobody said anything. Learned much later in life what my father was about and why I was not questioned.

Anyhow, that was last time I attended Bingo. Today my youngest sister (still 10 years older then me) dragged me to Bingo. 52 women, 2 men. Thankfully I was about 10 years younger then him so I was the cats meow among the ladies:)

Bingo games sure have changed over the years. I was confused at some of the wacky games they played. There was not one game where up and down or across came into play to win. Of the 2 men there one won $80.00 and it was not me.

Back in the day I went to My church bingo many times. I remember winning the last game, and it was the biggest game for the night, and after I won the Priest asked Me how much was going into the donations . LoL. I was a kid , and I said none....all of Mine was going into Star Wars toys, and My Mother could take care of donations...as My Mother slap the side of My head...LoL

My Catholic church Saint Anthoneys in Bridgeville Pa had bingo every single saturday night. As an alter boy I was required to man the snack stand. Put stuff on a metal cart push it round so everyone could buy some junk food. Great melmories. The fire hall had bingo as well. Man I remember the smoke in those places.

Growing up a Catholic with Middle/Eastern European ancestry in the Burgh - it was everywhere. Not necessarily recommending it but there's a very warped movie on Amazon called upload_2024-2-28_14-0-3.jpeg .

Funny and sick at the same time.

The damn smoke. Back then I didn't think anything of it but now days if I go into a venue where you can smoke it's nasty. And I wonder how the hell I enjoyed tobacco for the 10 years I smoked. First one in AM, first break of work day and the after dinner smoke were so damn good. Our Casino's have smoking sections and they do a decent job of keeping it centralized but when you walk through the area it hits you hard. Sometimes after a few drinks we sit and watch people's reaction when the smell hits them. Most the time it's our favorite part of trip up since we are out of money:thumbs__down: Free entertainment. :rolleye:

Funny my 3 sisters and I went to Sacred Heart grade school (Pittsburgh) and I was an alter boy at 2 of their weddings.

None of my business but did you keep up with the religion? I sure you figured out we believe in the faith that are parents raise us with. Most accept it and live their life. I took a good long critical view of all Religions. Did a ton of research and based my beliefs on my research not what those damn smack my knuckle with a ruler nuns told me. If curious where I ended up just read quotes by Mark Twain.:sneak:

I went through a period of going to churches of the women I dated. I've been to quite a few from Buddhist to pentecostal(actuallyPentecostal scared me the most ....LoL). I don't go to church anymore, but I still pray daily, and Roman Catholic is what I still adhere to the most. I guess upbringing is hard to stop.
