And the Chiefs, Mahomes, Reid, Kelce (and Swift) all have their roles to play too. The NFL seems to love keeping these long streaks alive. Oh, but I'm sure it's all just a coincidence..

 

I tend to agree with Cowher, players have to execute on the field, coach can't do that for them. The team with that executes and commits less turnovers, usually wins the game, unless the other team is just superior.

 

I will say this for Andy Reid. He had McNabb in Philly just couldn't win it all but were in the mix. Then he gets Mahomes. Guy's been blessed with QB's. That said, the play in the SB where the receiver was wide frigging open that I could have passed to him was brilliant coaching on his part. Fooled Eagles totally. Last night when Taylor's man/boy was wide open was brilliant coaching. Those two plays stand out to me because no way shape or form should a receiver be that open in Championship games. Great play calling.

Also, have you noticed how often now refs will throw a flag then pick it up and say there was no penalty? They rarely if EVER used to do that back in the day

 

Yes, and I believe that is 100% someone upstairs telling them to pick it up and move along.


Someone out there needs to break that frequency and find out how much the people upstairs are talking to the officials on the field during the game.

I am not going down the "Vegas" rabbit hole with you, but I do understand that there is a replay official upstairs. I just don't know how much he is allowed to talk to and influence the officials on the field during the play, and how many other people are talking with him during the game helping him make the calls.

 

No problem, but if the "the guys upstairs" (who work for the NFL) are telling the refs what to call or not to call (which we both believe), that begs to ask, who really has the most motivation to do so? Vegas has been in bed with the NFL ever since legalized betting with DraftKings, they sponsor them!
