And I don't understand why anybody would disagree with this. To say 3.9 versus 3.6 is both terrible. But I know what I see and if you give me the same number of carries for each running back, I know who will have more yards at the end of the year and It might not even be close. Everybody is saying the same thing and don't get what some are seeing.

I used to love how Cowher teams in the 90s would put the scrub teams away by halftime.

14-0 and it would be Good Night Moon!

Under Cowher when the Steelers led by at least 11 points, they were almost perfect...110-1-1 or something like that in Cowher's career...And when he had Ben, we often had fast starts in 2004 and 2005 and after that it was cowherball to protect the lead!

Overall the steelers were 27-4 in 2004 and 2005(including the playoffs) with Ben as starter

Yep, Najee takes the handoff and two defenders are on top of him in the backfield.
Jaylen takes he handoff and has a big hole right in front of him. I still say it's not Najee's fault. Switch how they're used and Najee probably staring at a hole and Jaylen getting overrun in the backfield for a 3 yard loss.

Cowher is right, Steelers need to run the ball better. 5 games in and no rushing touchdowns. They can’t get a rushing first down.

Put a full back in and clear a hole. Stop with the motion.

make them pay for putting 9 in the box by hitting a quick strike over them.

So the fix if I understand what your saying is to switch up their roles and see what happens. Mix it up.

Yeah... the '99 offense with Stewart, Bettis and Hawkins were badass compared to '23 offense.

In 1999,the steelers offense were still 17th in PPG and 22nd in yards...Much better that the last 3 years combined!

Only in 1998 that our offense were a complete dumpster fire like right now under Cowher

I have a question about Najee. And this is sincere, coming from someone (I'm 52) who has never played organized football, doesn't know ins and outs, doesn't know X's and O's....I just like watching the Steelers and have slowly been picking up things over the years (for example: someone keeps posting videos of a guy breaking down Kenny plays and coverages he's seeing, etc....I like things like that that explain it. "Football for Dummies" LOL).

So....I've seen many times where Najee is running and he throws down a defender. Now I know he's a strong, powerful guy...and RB's use stiffarms to their advantage. But sometimes it looks like he's trying too hard to throw down a defender, and that maybe he would have a little bit better of a run if he just plowed forward. Am I seeing things incorrectly? I appreciate all the insight I read on this board.

    Thanks!!
