The fans felt even worse with Cowher losing 4 AFCCG at home

I don't think that is so much a knock on Cowher. Noll didn't want to draft Marino either. Also - we all know that drafting a QB in the 1st round can be very risky, more of them burn out quickly then excel.

But I definitely think that Cowher never paid as much attention to the QB position as he should have and that did hurt him. He relied too much on a running game that was a working formula for the most part to win 10-12 games a year, but lousy when trying to keep up with a good QB/high powered offense in the playoffs or when a team focused in shutting down the run game. So we can dream that Cowher may have won 3-4 SBs with a great QB, but he never gave enough attention to finding a way to get that QB.

Pretty sure there is a story out there that Joe Montana had his agent call the Steelers because he was interested in coming back to his hometown area when he left the 49ers, but Cowher and the Steelers weren't interested.

I've never heard that before. If true, that would be heart breaking for me. Montana was my favorite QB of all time and he knocked us out of the playoffs in the early 90s with the Chiefs to boot.

Sydenham. Unless you're very familiar with the greater Kingston area, you've probably never heard of it. Tiny town 20 minutes north of Kingston. But we do have a beer store, hardware store and a pizza place. What else is needed?

Lots of coaches feel that way eventually, especially the high stress types. Burn-out is what it is. Still love The Chin though.
