We’re probably all a little frustrated right now, but even though we are likely - Colts/Titans could could tie - eliminated from the playoffs, there are some good things that happened this year... as well as some not-so-good things.

Which player’s development has been the most encouraging to you?

Juju and Watt top the list for me, particularly Watt over the last month. He’s been nothing less than dominant and made his presence known week-by-week.

    What about disappointing?

Burns, Burnette and Dupree are the guys here. Burns is a given, Burnette was our big signing who primarily bust and Dupree continues to be trash and take horrible angles with every run.

Washington almost made this list but he’s been a bit better the last few weeks. Lol

    What about you guys?

Conner too.. Other than that there's been more disappointing players than improving players

The positive...the season is over and i won't have to watch Tomlin make anymore bonehead decisions. ( until next season)

Conner was surprisingly good for me. Can he hold up for a season of running the wheels off?
Burns was a disappointment this season.

JU JU and Watt both excelled this year.

JU JU benefits from having Brown on the opposite side Watt doesn't get much help from MR. ONE MOVE Dupree.

Hargrave improved and if he continues to improve it will only help Heyward and Tuitt.

Samuels also showed he can play just not sure how best to use him.

I am at a loss to understand what happened to Burns he has the athleticism and size but he regressed so badly this year. I know he was seen as raw coming out of college but is he so bad he cannot be coached up to at least put Sensabaugh back on the bench.

Dupree gets a few sacks but most are him cleaning up after Heyward or Watt put the pressure on. After 4 years he still hasn't developed any other pass rush skills other than to go wide and way up field . Never see a rip inside a spin move nothing.

I hope some of the blame for these guys under performing falls on their positional coaches .

Agree with everyone both good and bad. The thing that drives me nuts is that DuPree will make $9.5 million next year. He is an empty uniform.

Halfway through the season I thought Bostic was a good signing. These last 6 games or so, he just disappeared.

Connor was a big surprise this year. I’m also glad to see Eli Rogers have several good games. I’m not sure what his contract status is, but I hope he can be retained for depth without breaking the bank.

Bostic definitely faltered as the season went on. He is still better than Matakevich, but he's not a quality NFL starter.

Unless the Steelers find a starter in free agency or the draft, I'm guessing we will see Williams and Fort starting next season.

Jaylen Samuels was surprisingly good. Made steady progression from the begining of camp to the end of the season. The Steelers could have a potent tandem of backs with Samuels and Conner.

Artie Burns was surprisingly bad. The guy completely fell apart this year.

Watt was our MVP as far as I'm concerned. There weren't many other consistent contributors on defense at all.

Most of the negative performers were already mentioned, but add Boswell to the negative list for me. His performance was emblematic of the rest of this mentally weak team.

They got pushed around last week, though the pass protection wasn't bad in New Orleans. The line was decent today. The Bengals did get to Roethlisberger some, but part of that was him holding the ball because receivers weren't getting open. Today showed just how crucial Antonio Brown is for that offense.

My biggest disappointment was Ben. I know we don't win without him but his inopportune interceptions were just horrible. For a 15 year veteran, he should not be making those type of throws. His attitude toward this "gun-slinging" mentality is costing us possessions and games. I think Randy Fictner is not reeling him in enough and none of it will change until Ben hangs it up.
