this isn't a bash tomlin post...but his message has become stale. he hires bad position coaches. when he does get a good one, they don't stay. they have had some absolute horrible drafts. tomlin and his position coaches are not good at developing players as well. i have to circle back to the horrible drafts thing and state that being horrible at developing players might have been a catalyst in some of the perceived bad draft picks. he is not good at clock management, but many coaches now seem to have that very same issue. he never seems to have his team properly prepared to face teams that they should beat fairly easily.

for years i felt tomlin was a good coach...which he wasn't bad earlier in his career. but his unwillingness to change or step out of his comfort zone over the last 5 or so years has really tarnished his reputation.

i will give him his due. he rarely loses his team and yes he has never had a losing season which is an absolute horrible way to rank a coach.

mediocre isn't good. it's like being in a round room and being told to find a corner. you just keep going around and around never making any progress.

i'd love to see tomlin hire some good positional coaches and coordinators and see what this front office can actually build. but i am not so sure a good positional coach or coordinator would actually want to come to the steelers because they have become the epitome of mediocre...not moving forward or even moving backward to start a pendulum swing to possibly move forward.

it pains me so to watch what this team has become seeing as i have been a fan for half a century...

i'm not saying fire tomlin, but this team absolutely needs some form of change because as they stand right now they are not going anywhere other than staying mediocre.

sorry for the book, i just needed to vent a little.

I believe Tomlin just doesn't want to deal with players anymore.

And, Khan is a terrible, terrible judge of Talent.

I have been so Disappointed in Arthur Smith this year. If he is released by the Steelers I hope to read somewhere what went wrong; did Mike Tomlin make his offense this conservative. After the Browns game you have to wonder what the hell Arthur Smith was doing!
