Don't disagree with your sentiment, but I just want to point out that if the Jets, Bills Dolphins were in our Division, we'd make the playoffs every year too. Heck, if we beat the Phins on Sunday, we'll be 3-0 vs that trio and 3-7 vs everyone else.

Just about as many times as Cowher's teams played down to an opponent.

I also felt like we played down to a lot of people under Cowher. I still love the guy though.

I like Cowher a lot too despite the slooooooooooooow starts to the season, playing down to the competition, not having players ready, getting fined for stuffing a photo in a ref's pocket and embarrassing the NFL, being on the field during the other team's return, etc.

Even if Ben is 34 at the start of his new it doesn't mean the team will keep him for the duration of his contract. If his play declines too much and doesn't warrant his big salary they will get rid of him.

I'd like to see the winning percentages for both Cowher and Tomlin as to how they compare against teams under .500 as well as above .500. I have no idea where or how to find them, but would be interested in seeing those results.

Hey 12to88 can you dig up those sort of stats?? You've seemed to have posted some similar stats in the past.

As I recall, the embarrassment to the NFL, was that they had to issue an aplogy to the Steelers/Cowher for that call. One of several apologies they issued when Cowher was coaching. LOL :applaud:

I don't actually think the NFL gave a rat's patootie. The Referees, however...............They've had to apologize to a lot of teams through the years. in actuality, the NFL is only embarrassed that Emperor Kraft and King Belichek got caught cheating and Roger couldn't make everything go away so they HAD to do something.
