If Branch is a move up, it will be a move up from 32 to the end of the 1st. He won’t go in the Top 15. He’s an elite slot corner who is expected to transition to safety, and the positional value isn’t there to go that high.

Skowronski will be a really nice guard, or an average tackle. I don’t see the upside to be much better than what he already is.

he could play center as well i believe. he played in the same conference as johnson did and did quite well. he played it 3 times longer than johnson at LT. i've seen branch no lower than 17 and as high as 13 on most boards.

I don’t know whether Skowronski can play center, but my point is that he’s going to be a better player on the inside at the NFL level. There have been many, many players over the years who were great in college but lacked the physical upside to be get better. Whatever the case, he won’t be a Steeler so I’m not going to lose sleep over it. We’ll see if he’s announced as “tackle” or something else like “offensive line” or “guard.”

he played center all through HS. they made him a tackle in college. the only thing holding him back is the length of his arms. the feet and movement are there as far as playing tackle and the brains. he played against some pretty good talent in the big 10 for 3 years at LT.

Here’s a draft fear that doesn’t directly involve the Steelers:

Carolina and others make some questionable decisions, and Bryce Young, CJ Stroud and Will Anderson all end up in the AFC….
