Last year my biggest fear was that they would be making an announcement that "a trade is in and the Steelers are on the Clock" From picks 5 to 15 I jusrt kept saying to myself "No Trade, No Trade, No Trade..." I just knew the Steelers were going to trade away 5 1st round picks and select a QB.

This year the only player I am now scared of is Jalen Carter. The Steelers moving up to get Jalen Carter is my only fear in the 1st round.

So, with every pick before the Steelers it is going to be "Jalen Carter, Jalen Carter come on JALEN CARTER!!!" Before the Steelers pick at #17, I want the Comish to say.... "The pick is in and it is Jalen Carter".

Because I don't want to see this....

I don't want Him, but of He falls to 17, and they take Him .....I won't be made, but if they trade up for Him....Yes it would upset Me....Of course they don't care what I think....LoL

My 1st round fear is missing out on a premier talent at corner (Gonzalez, Witherspoon, Porter) or LT (Johnson, Jones).

My pick #32 fear is that we go interior O line even though we have addressed it quite well in free agency the past 2 offseasons. I’m really worried about us doing this because of the players we have brought in. At OT we’ve got freaking LaRaven Clark backing up both of our starters, but we’re showing more love to interior guys.

My biggest fear would be the top guys on their board not being there at 17 and they reach for someone they could've gotten at 49.

My biggest fear for Round One?!

Trading up to select Jalen Carter. I really would want to say any defensive player but someone like Christian Gonzalez is worth trading up for. If anything, I would rather trade up for Broderick Jones Jr if the trade up scenario is going to be factored in.

Side note: I wonder what is taking so long for the Steelers to have their Pre Draft Press Conference?! I assume Thursday or next week as this Wednesday will be the final day for Prospects to have a Pre Draft Visit.

I have a slight preference for Paris Johnson, but yeah, trading up for LT is the trade up scenario that interests me. Either of those two guys.

My biggest fear for round one is taking any offensive tackle. If for some reason carter falls to 17 they need to run to the podium.

I just came from reading the new Kiper/Mcshay mock draft and basically threw up in my mouth a little over Kiper taking Zay Flowers at 17 :puking 3:

If I had to pick one, I guess its that we trade down for no reason with good players I like on the board.

TBH they know how to run a pro football team better than me, so I usually trust their decision making over mine. The only time I've ever been "nervous" for what we decided was last year hoping they didn't take Willis at 20.

That won't happen. C'mon Colbert isn't picking. Is there a Devon bush available? Give up 3 picks for a guy that is a superb player. Just ask him.:smiley1::cool:

I can pretty much guarantee you that your second fear will come true in the 1st round. You may even get to relive it at the start of Day 2.

what's the chance that we end up with two tackles from Ohio state or johnson and harrison or wright. 17 and 32. trade okrafor and demote moore. fix both sides with a couple of big bodies that weidl likes. we would have a massive and talented O-Line for sure. corner at 49. edge or safety at 80. DL at 120.

    Agreed.

Arguments can be made foe both. I just like the fact that Jones Jr is just a bit more talented at this point than Johnson Jr is. Not by much though but something I do like when it comes to Offensive Lineman.

Surely not. I bet He (Cam Smith) doesn't get past the Ravens. Unless they trade up.

I fear Steelers fall in love with measurables in lieu of football players that love the game and are just football players.
Please Steelers vet these players and watch tape after tape of players you are considering.

Any of the three OT’s - Broderick Jones, Skoronski and Jones. Overall in the draft waiting to long to take a CB.
