    Got a new contract.

I guess they need some shade during the hot months of summer.

WTF are they doing? This guy wasn't even good enough to ever put in the game, but they signed him to a new contract? Sorry, but they make some poor decisions, even if some want to deny it.

Probably a Toussaint type deal.....either that or not only did we hire a new DL coach but he's a magician as well....we'll see.

I dont mind it. I have met the kid and that isnt why but he is still learning the game. He isnt bad when he plays. His skill set has yet to be maxiumized. I still say he will be good

He's got to show something in camp. If not I'm not sure he will make the team.

He has 16 tackles and 1 1/2 sacks in 4 years. That’s barely a good game.

I think the vet minimum is $790,000. That’s a raise in pay from last year.

You're way more patient and forgiving than I. I mean enough is enough. This team falls in love with players they add if they can keep them cheap, even though they clearly show they will never be even decent, like Croissant. And now Dan. I'm so sick of it. Yippeeeeeeeeeeeee we signed him for cheap. What, he can't play? But we got him for cheap I said!

McCullers is huge and very long. I really liked him coming out of college but he was very raw. With his gargantuan size and super long arms he should be an immovable object at nose tackle, which would be good for run defense, but the unfortunate thing is that he can't pass rush at all and I think that's what's keeping him off the field.

    None of which is guaranteed.
Easily cut by the end of preseason. Or kept if there are injuries or nothing better shows up.

And the excuse well they know the system. Football is the only system that matters. Stop resigning players just because they know terms and hand signals.

This shocks me. Besides the fact that he is huge, he really dosent offer much. The fact that the signed him leads me to believe he will make it through camp and be on the roster game 1. I guess they feel like they need a true NT to back up Hargrave.

Well when u have one of the highest paid wr, highest paid back, and a qb who doesnt make chump change, u have to have some cheaper guys on a 53 man roster. Is he a pro bowler? No. Will He ever be? Dont know.

I wish we could go 3 deep with all pros at every position but dont think that will happen. He is average. He isnt terrible. He is better than cam thomas was

I'm quite surprised they signed him back.

I actually like it. I've always liked Big Dan. A couple of pre-seasons ago I thought he was dominant against the run.

Unfortunately there is very little consistency in his game. Gives nothing in pass rush.

I liked John Mitchell but he didnt get much out of McCullers. Let's see what Dunbar can do.

Bad idea if you ask me.. Lad has no fight/drive. For a big dude he should be crushing people.. too soft

Well I think you hit on it. They're gonna give Dunbar his shot at trying to get to Dan and if he can't get through to him during camp ...he's gone.

    Probably just a camp body.

But if anyone has actually seen him in camp they will know his potential...

I've seen him bowl through people like a bowling ball his rookie camp. He has it in him, he just rarely shows it.

Only problem is he isn't a "true NT." At all. He's basically worthless. A true NT crushes the run. He's huge but can't even move at all.
