With the Steeler team apparently in shambles, what do you think Ben is thinking? Can he be thinking "these guys better get me some help in the off season" or maybe even "this might be a good time to just announce my retirement". I don't get to listen to his radio program, so I don't know what he's been saying the last week or so. I just can't help wondering what his thoughts are. Ben has to know better than anyone what a disaster this team is at the moment. Why would he possibly want to come back to this cluster f**k next season?

Ben will play in '19 because Rivers, Brady, Brees, E. Manning are not retiring. Can't wait to see which one retires first. The new rules protect QBs... so Ben may play until he's 50.

Big Ben should look in a big mirror before he goes pointing fingers.

year 50 where he will have 70 interceptions and only 5 td's and he will still blame WR's for running wrong routes lol

Maybe because if he looked in the mirror and was honest with himself he would admit that he is part of the problem as well. How big? How small? Not exactly sure but he makes the list nonetheless.

figure out a way to monetize the Bell, Brown, Tomlin, Ben, and Butler threads on this site and TTF could make over that easily.

Will be interesting to see what happens to Eli, since the NYG's aren't committing to him.

He should be looking at himself right now something he seems to never do.

He could also print up T shirts with a bunch of dead killer Bs on the ground with FUBARd stingers. I'll take 10% on that too. I'm making money today.

Pretty sure they already did when they drafted Barkley and not a QB. I don't see many options at this point.

Rules change. QB s over 50 get to use 2 football's. One throw to A B every play and then one to throw to the other receiver s. Problem solved.

The guy constantly puts the blame on himself. He occasionally mentions that a receiver made a mistake, but he always points to his own mistakes.

Roethlisberger doesn't take blame? Apparently, you missed just about every post-game interview with him this season.

There is plenty to criticize with Roethlisberger, but let's try to be accurate when we do it.

If he retired, he’d have to pay back $6.2 million of his signing bonus. And he’d miss out on an easy $5 million roster bonus (due March 15th).

Posters were falsely claiming that Roethlisberger never blames himself. That he sometimes brought up mistakes by teammates on those radio interviews doesn't change the fact that you constantly hear him talking about his own mistakes or saying that he has to play better after losses.

In other words, you thought you had a gotcha moment, but you whiffed badly.

For 2018, Ben threw 5.0 TDs every 100 attempts. That is similar to the last 3 years.
Ben threw 2.4 INTs every 100 attempts. That is better than the last 3 years.

Ben had a career high in passing attempts, more than 4 additional passes per game compared to his previous high. That is the reason for the number of INTs, not the ratio of TDs-to-INTS getting worse.

He is not a good leader. Always passive aggressive and throwing people under the bus. He is a part of the dysfunctionality.
