Yeah, but the Ravens have the horses up front to get pressure rushing 4. I feel cautiously optimistic, but their pass rush is really good. If there's one thing I'm most nervous about, it's hearing "pass interference; defense; the ball will be placed at the 1 yard line; first down."

Play action and then lob it in the air and see what happens. Sad thing is that it usually works to perfection against us. I think Martavis Bryant will be the key advantage for us. Bryant adds a whole new element to this team especially in the red zone, keep feeding him the ball and we have a great chance Sunday night. I also think Mr. Harrison is going to be a big factor in this game. Him getting back into football shape is bad news for flacco.

It'll be a tough game either way, but I think we're baby stepping right now and in the right direction. They need to leave Troy andMitchell back to keep the lid on the D. Trust the front 7 to handle the run and underneath stuff. We got to eliminate this deep crap for P.I. That they live off of.

If we play with intensity for 60 minutes ,
we will be OK. Retiring Joe Greene
jersey, the place should be electric.

This is what I'm hoping for! If they stay back in coverage, Bell will have a field day, as long as the defense holds so we aren't down by double digits and in a passing mode we will be fine. The one thing that is good about the offense right now is the ability to run and pass. As far as blitzing goes, as long as the O-line can stop or slow their front 4 down, Ben will find guys, when he gets erratic is when he has to shrug off sacks every play, if they blitz the short pasing game will be there, if they stay back in coverage the running game will be there, a lot of weapons waking up right now.

Our offense isn't what worries me...its our secondary.

Absolutely agree. I'm not sure who ever brought in these guys but it seems as long as Ike has been around, the easiest way to beat the Steelers is in the air.

It is. I'm trying not to go there, myself. I think it will be a hard fought game. But if the Steelers stay focused, intense and aggressive, then I think they can beat them by a couple TDs.

Last time Ben threw for over 500 yards it was against the Packers in 09 when he ended the game connecting to Mike Wallace. The following week he put up a 76 QB Rating against the Ravens at home throwing for 259 with a TD and pick. Steelers won that game 23-20.

So the performance last week in no way guarantees he will put together another stellar performance. I am really hoping the defense does something this week. Just hope they can minimize the explosive plays - they seem to be getting a better creating their own splash plays (sacks and picks).

The Ravens depleted secondary was the reason for why I think Ben can have another big day, not because of any carryover from his performance from last week. I don't think he will have quite as good a day as he did last week but I can see him throwing for 350-400 yards, 3 TD's.

Blake is playing in place of Allen this week, so Flacco wont have a punching bag to beat on, assuming Blake is up to the task.

With the Ravens rush I'm guessing Haley will be dialing up a LOT of screens, draws and bubble screens to try to counteract it. A lot of 5-7 step drops aren't gonna fly this week.

TTF said: Their pass rush is ridiculous...one of the best in the league. Stout run D, too. It's going to be a tough game.

The Ravens will miss Smith, though.

Yeah! What are we going to do about Elvis Dumervil. He has 7 sacks and is tied for 2nd in the NFL. He always seems to play well against Pit. Although he did not, and the Ravens did not have any sacks here last year.

However, team wise the Ravens may be slipping. They are in the bottom half of the league ranked 17th. But that's paper stuff and often means little. But anyway this will be yet another good test for the O line.

Well, I remember a Monday night game in 07 when the steelers were wearing their throwback unis not the bumble bee but the yellow helmet one, and Ben hung 38 points on the rats in a 38-7 rout and he threw for 5 TDs against a ray lewis led defense that couldnt stop him, just maybe Ben will have another one of those nights with better receivers than he had in that game....

True, they finished 5-11 and had 9 losses in a row, but it was nice to see Ben carve them up on MNF.......
