    Archer? No, just...no.

I thought Josh Harris looked OK when he was here. Maybe I'm remembering wrong.

After what you saw last season bringing in a guy a week before a playoff game, you still need convincing

Im not putting this one on Tomlin, Archer doesn't pass the eyeball test to me and I was in his corner, wanted him to succeed.

And it would be on Haley anyway to figure out how best to use him. The offense we run now though, would be a waste to try and infuse Archer into it.

Nah. Just hoping he could help me feel a little better about Touissant. I would consider bringing Pead back in though.

Yep, seems to have pretty good hands. I can't believe we're going into the playoffs again this season with our number one RB hampered! That really sucks . But next man up, right? Everybody has injuries this time of year and we're fortunate Ben is going into the postseason healthy.

Well, if its any consolation, they are going to have Ben throw it 50 times regardless who is at RB.

We're going to be riding on Bens arm.

True, but they'll be throwing it 50 times because they HAVE to, not because they WANT to. There is a difference. If the offense is completely one dimensional with no running threat at all, advantage defense.

Redman has a neck condition that forced retirement but what about Turner the former Falcons RB is he still in game shape?

Anyone from Pitt or Penn State jump out at this point someone the team may be familiar with? Wasn't LaMicheal James a pretty good scat back ?

Yes, I wouldn't bring back Archer either. Just saying he difn't get much of a shot so nobody should be too hard on the little guy.

Archer got less than a game's worth of touches before he was shown the door. Kind of a head scratcher on a 3rd round pick.

Really, no one can come in and run the ball hard in a Playoff game.
    We are who we are.
We're gonna use the tires on the car that got us here.

Definitely. Seems like they were in love with his speed with no real plan or any idea on how to use it.

True. Probably thinking McCluster type player for Haley's offense.

Why is this an issue again!!? I knew this **** was going to happen. Why are we the only team in the league that doesn't have at least 3 rbs that get touches throughout the season? I just don't get it.

Because you can only fit so many RBs in Tomlin's doghouse?

Because Tomlin keeps cutting RBs eyelids off for fumbling?

Because Haley will move the ball down the field by any means and bombing it every second play is kind of sort of working?

Because the Bengals and Browns players are a bunch of ankle attacking pussies?

Because Bell drives a 2 seater... you can't fit everyone in the hotbox?

Because most RBs aren't OL grade pass blockers which is a Steelers prerequisite?

Because the 3rd RB must be "this tall" to ride the bench and Dri Archer wasn't?

    Just brainstorming here fellas.

Has there been any info on DeAngelo's ankle? I like him and have been glad to see him have a good season. It's like he appreciated and valued the opportunity in Pitt, so I hope he is OK.

His Twitter shows video of him greeting the team in the tunnel after the game, wearing a boot.
But he was moving around pretty well, that doesn't mean anything though.

I am hoping Dwill is fine but if not I am good with Toussaint and Todman. Like some others have pointed out a full week for these two will help and also this is gonna be all about Ben's arm. I think this in where next man up really has to be truer then true!

The thing that matters right now is there has been a ton of trash talk between us and the Bunholes so with that said Ben, AB, Bryant, oline and the D need to step up and the running game won't be an issue. The Bunholes have lost 7 straight playoff games let's make it 8................

i also think toussaint and todman will be fine for us next week. the nix injury looms larger now since our 3rd RB option willj will be used in strictly the FB role. at least we have 3 healthy TE's playing well right now so it won't hurt us much.

I don't really like it, but I think the best options are probably what's already on the team. If I had to pick up someone from the free agent scrap heap, I'd consider Seastrunk. He seemed to do good at Baylor, but for whatever reason just couldn't translate that into the NFL. Maybe he just needs the right scheme?

Stick with what we got, Toussaint just looked a step slow going into the hole. Made a nice catch on the 2 point. Hope with a weeks practice he hits the holes better and quicker.

Don't know much about Todman, can someone tell me about him?
